Not as advertised I recently purchased a car from Star Motor Sales, ans endorsed by CARMAX. Upon receiving the car via truck, I opened the door, and it smelled like a frat house on a Sunday morning. Even after three shampoos, it still has an odor The paint has at least thirty touch ups brushed on, and are two shades darker. The convertible top.has no less than twenty oil spots that are at least 1" or larger. a attempt was made to get them out, but it only bleached the top, where they tried. The "excellent glass has a large scrape in the windshield which will have to be replaced. In short it will cost me $ 3,000 to put this car in "excellent condition that they list it as. If you are considering buying from them, go see the car. Don't go by their photo shopped pics. More

Found the car and Star Motor Sales online and two states away in Downer's I bought my 2010 BMW M3 (which a friend calls "The car of my dreams") here. Found the car and Star Motor Sales online and two states away in Downer's Grove. I drove from Michigan to see and test drive the car, and was assisted by Henry (Zarzour), the first wonderful person I interacted with. The test drive convinced, me and the independent inspection confirmed that the car was in great condition and an excellent buy. From that moment until I picked up the car and drove it to its new home, I interacted with more of the Star staff. Henry, Fil-with-an-'F', Adam and Cara each took such wonderful care of me. I have bought many cars in my life, most used and a few new. I have never had as good an experience as Star Motor Sales and their people provided. I completely recommend these people and their company to anyone. More

Heather Garczynski I came from out of state to look at some cars in the area and when a few others didn't check out, I happened to stop at this lot to look a Scion FRS t I came from out of state to look at some cars in the area and when a few others didn't check out, I happened to stop at this lot to look a Scion FRS that they had advertised. Upon arriving at the lot, I saw they also had a Subaru BRZ, which I was more interested in because of the upgrades it offered over the Scion. Alex was very helpful and when I inquired about the BRZ, he told me that they had just received that car the night before and it hadn't even been cleaned out yet but that they would take care of it right away so I could drive it. I ended up buying the BRZ and the entire experience from test drive to final transaction was smooth and simple. All of the employees at Star were very helpful and I did not feel like the sales associates were high-pressure sales like I've experienced at other dealerships. I was very impressed and would highly recommend this dealership. More

Worst car buying experience WORST car buying experience I have had. They actually ended up voiding out the contract because they sold me a car and the engine blew not even 6 hour WORST car buying experience I have had. They actually ended up voiding out the contract because they sold me a car and the engine blew not even 6 hours later (they tried to say they did that out of the niceness of their hearts, but we all know it's because they didn't want to get sued. The owner has enough legal issues he has to deal with, thanks to the good ol' public court records for enlightening me on that information). There is documented proof of engine damage prior to my purchase that they failed to disclose, promising a Porsche in perfect condition. The gave me my trade in back but kept my $3800 down payment. Which was super fabulous because I had to travel from Indiana every time I had to deal with them. They tried to claim the engine blew because of the way it was driven(which it was not driven hard, but even if it was Porsche doesn't build xxxx cars that just blow their engines because someone speeds LOL AT THEIR MECHANIC THAT IS HIGHLY UNEDUCATED) If you are considering purchasing a vehicle here, turn around and RUN!!! Crooks is the only word that comes to mind when I hear the words "Star Motor" . Good luck on your car buying experience and hopefully you can learn from my negative one. More

NEVER TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP I had the experience to deal with one of the biggest liars I've ever met. On February I bought a 2003 Mercedes E500 from Alex who's supposed to be the I had the experience to deal with one of the biggest liars I've ever met. On February I bought a 2003 Mercedes E500 from Alex who's supposed to be the best rated salesperson amongst the rest of them thieves. I drove tested the car and it looked good at first. I told I wanted to take to mechanic to check the car and he was hesitant at first then took me to a place close by the shop and they confirmed it's all good. Now that I think about it again he chose the place so he might've tipped them off or something. Long story short, two months after buying the car noises started from the front passenger seat. Took the car to a certified shop and they verified that the car has been in bad shape but been sharpened up and lubricated well enough to make it run normally for a few months. Which leads to the conclusion that these people are experts in cheating and lying to people. The transmission is worn off too and might need to be replaced soon too. Estimates for repairs cost the same price I got the car for and that's not including the transmission. NEVER DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. More
