Phoned just before noon and was told by the woman handling incoming calls that service department w Noticed headlight out and needed to go to dealer. I insisted that she ask the service advisors since I needed only a headlight and this was a safety issue. She reluctantly agreed, put me on hold so that she could ask. The response was yes, it is OK. When I arrived at the facility I was greeted with the usual courtesy and Byungju Kim took immediate action writing up my issue. He check the lights and then asked if there was anything else I needed so I had my routine service performed. He also brought to my attention a recall that needed to be performed. While waiting my son and I took a walk in the neighborhood, found a nice restaurant and were enjoying lunch when Mr. Kim phoned to let me know the job was complete. When I informed him that we were finishing lunch he immediately told me to take my time that there wasn't any rush. In conclusion, the service department employees did a great job, but the receptionist needs further training. More

3 appointments for service, not one was honored After three oil changes with Star Hyundai's Service Center a trend has been firmly established. Making an appointment in advance means little and lit After three oil changes with Star Hyundai's Service Center a trend has been firmly established. Making an appointment in advance means little and little is done to honor that commitment. First oil change, with appointment took two hours. It was my expectation that with an appointment some type of effort would be made to service the car at or about that time-frame committed too. Second, with appointment took 2 hours, an attempt to up-sell service was made, which only delayed the service that was originally asked for, the car was placed back in the que (at the end) after service manager tried to up-sell. It was explained to me that an appointment's only commitment was to receive the car into the shop, it had no bearing on the when it would be serviced. Third, having the knowledge for the first two, looked for the commitment that the car would be serviced when the appointment was made, I was told if I arrived at the appointment time, the car would be serviced and inspected at that time. It took 2.5 hours for change the oil and state inspect a new car. They had "others" in que and had a shortage of staff The first five oil changes may be "free" but it comes at a high cost of your time, as they have little or no respect of their customer time demonstrated clearly by their actions. More
