We have been shopping for a new car for a few weeks. We visited several dealers in our area and were turned off by their high pressure sales techniques. At Star Hyundai we were treated courteously, asked what our specific needs were and were shown a Sonata that met out needs exactly. We asked for their best price on the vehicle and the price given was acceptable without a hassle. All the benefits of the car were explained to us as well as the operation. Our salesman, Tom Tang, was very knowledgeable and saw us through the entire purchase process from the first hello to a waive good-bye as we drove our new Hyundai Sonata off the lot and on our way home. I have had my eye on the 2011 Sonata since November 2010 when I was first came into the showroom to look at it first hand. Unfortunately it took forever for my refi on my house so I could purchase a new ca when I was first came into the showroom to look at it first hand. Unfortunately it took forever for my refi on my house so I could purchase a new car and then the winter came along and with all the snow storms we experienced since December I decided there was no way I was driving around in a new car. Victor my salesman was very patient with me and I finally drove my new car off the lot yesterday (Please don't snow). I enjoyed my experience at Star and found Victor very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I am looking out my window now at my brand new Sonata sitting in my driveway and can't believe the day has finally come. I look forward to enjoying this car for years to come. After terrible experiences in both Hyundai of Valley Stream and Atlantic Hyundai my husband and I had just about given up hope of purchasing the car that we desired, a 2011 Sonata Limited. Luckily for Stream and Atlantic Hyundai my husband and I had just about given up hope of purchasing the car that we desired, a 2011 Sonata Limited. Luckily for both of us I am much more stubborn than my husband and submitted an inquiry on Star's website to search their inventory. My inquiry was promptly met with a friendly response from Steve Dyer, the internet manager. Not only was it not an automatically generated response stating yes or no...it was actually personal! I briefly informed Steve of what I was looking for and the fact that I was quite discouraged after the way we were treated in the other 2 dealerships. We corresponded briefly through email but I was still hesitant after my prior experiences. When we walked in and met with Steve he quickly began to put me at ease. He was extremely professional and courteous. Not only that he was very patient with my growing indecisions as I was purchasing my first ever new car. Other dealers we had been to tried to play games by only telling us the price of our monthly payment and never revealing total cost...we never had to question any of that with Steve and when all was said and done I walked away with an even better model of the car that I really wanted for less than what the other dealers where trying to rip me off for. What truly made me value his service is the fact that he is not even a salesperson!!!! Every person I encountered in that dealership was amazing and my experience there made the other 2 awful ones seem worthwhile b/c in the long run I stood my ground and got what I wanted, and more, by visiting Star. I have already recommended them to friends and family looking for a new car and would strongly suggest you do the same! More

I HAD VISITED ONE OTHER DEALERSHIP IN VALLEY STREAM AND WAS TREATED HORRIBLY. THEY HAD A VEHICLE ADVERTISED THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN(THEY WERE NOT THE LOWEST PRICE IN THE PAPER BUT A LOCAL DEALER OF MINE)W WAS TREATED HORRIBLY. THEY HAD A VEHICLE ADVERTISED THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN(THEY WERE NOT THE LOWEST PRICE IN THE PAPER BUT A LOCAL DEALER OF MINE)WHEN I GOT THERE I WASNT GREETED AND WHEN FINALLY I ASKED TO BE HELPED I GOT THE RUN AROUND ABOUT THE CAR AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY SOLD OUT OF ADVERTISED CARS BUT THEY HAD OTHERS AT SIMILAR SAVINGS(VERY ORIGINAL)MIND YOU THAT WHILE WAITING FOR A SALESMAN I COUNTED 4 ON THE LOT WITH THE MATCHING MSRP..ANYWAY INSTEAD OF ARGUING ABOUT A CAR THAT I WOULDNT HAVE BOUGHT AT ANY PRICE FROM THEM.. I WENT TO STAR HYUNDAI WHERE THEY HAD THE CAR I WANTED FOR LESS THAN VALLEY STREAMS AD PRICE. THE SALESPERSON WAS POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE AND THE MGMT STAFF WAS COURTEOUS AND CONSIDERATE OF MY TIME..A GREAT EXPERIENCE OVERALL. More
