Best car buying experience I EVER had ! ! ! If I could give this dealership ( and my sales professional, Philip Robinson ) TEN RATING STARS, I would have! I first walked into Star Hyundai, Bays If I could give this dealership ( and my sales professional, Philip Robinson ) TEN RATING STARS, I would have! I first walked into Star Hyundai, Bayside, on August 6th. 2015. I was ( every so ) fortunate to be greeted by Philip Robinson. During that first ( two hour ) sit down, Philip went over all the key features of the 2015 Sonata Limited that we were interested in purchasing. He was courteous, patient, articulate, and answered every last one of my questions ( I'm a techie ) in full detail and always respecting my intelligence! Never once being condescending or talking down to me - as MANY car salesman do if they think you're asking "too many" questions. It was obvious that Philip was a real expert in the Hyundai product line. Never once did he dodge any of my technical questions. He had 100% of the answers, 100% of the time! Next, I retuned with my wife three days later ( by appointment ) and Philip then spent two ( more ) hours with us both - reviewing for her many of the features of the car, and addressing some new questions I had. With no pressure, Philip made us a "fair offer" on a 2015 Sonata Limited lease, and ( with ZERO haggling ) we agreed on the terms that were in my opinion ( and I had priced three Hyundai dealers in Queens and Long Island ) fair and reasonable. Oh - about the car. The 2015 Sonata Limited with both the Tech package and the Ultra package. Well . . . WOW and AWESOME pretty much sums it up! This ( luxury ) mid size sedan, offers soooooo much value that it is ( in our opinion ) a "best in class" vehicle! And, I say that having done hours, and hours and hours of pre-purchase research. In fact, to get the "fully loaded' features and details that I got on our Sonata Limited, in the Toyota brand, we would have HAD to purchase a Toyota Avalon, with a base SMRP of $42,500.00 ! We got this fully loaded ( tech-tastic ) Sonata Limited for ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS . . . . . . . LESS than that number! Bite me, Toyota Camry ! Especially - Lee's Toyota of Queens, and Westbury Toyota of Long Island - where we "suffered' terrible consumer experiences, and were NOT treated with any degree of respect and dignity! Lee's and Westbury Toyota are both your typical ( manipulative, dishonest, sleazy ) automotive retailers! Enough said. We picked up our Sonata ( Philip had to get it for us from another Hyundai dealer ) a week later, and when it came to doing the paper work, there was NO high pressure sales pitch to buy extra stuff and add-ons! Yes, the leasing ( closer ) guy did "offer" a few more ( extra cost ) options to us, but when I declined, there was no pressure, and he remained cordial and polite throughout the process. Then, when we did the ( delivery ) check-list, run through . . . we encountered a few technical glitches with enabling my cell phone to ( interface ) with the car, via an ultra-cool technology called "android Auto". This was TOTALLY an issue with MY PHONE, and NOT the vehicle. Philip spent SEVERAL HOURS attempting to get it all to work together, and finally he was successful! All through that very tedious process, Philip remained patient and "determined" to find a solution to this very frustrating technical problem caused by Goggle's lack of ( adequately detailed ) instructions on setting up the Android Auto software. Many salesmen would have ( at that point ) said . . . "your phone - your problem, have a nice day, buddy"! NOT Philip. He spent HOURS ( with me ) searching for a solution. He was determined NOT to let us drive off the lot - without this feature, Android Auto - fully functional on both the car and my cell phone! To sum it up . . . if you want a "fair deal" delivered by guys who have ( real ) old-school integrity, and who will respect your intelligence throughout the process, then go to this dealer, and ( very important ) ask for Philip Robinson by name! Also I should mention that Zack ( their GM ) is also a really nice, honest and straightforward guy too! So . . . we encourage you to do your homework/research first ( like I did ), shop around and ( then ) come to THIS dealership to buy your Hyundai product from Philip Robinson! And by the way . . . NO . . . I am NOT related to them in any way! Lol, lol, lol. I'm just a member of the Philip Robinson, and Star Hyundai - FAN CLUB! Lol, lol, lol. Enjoy your Hyundai product, M.J. Bayside Queens, NY.
