Best word to describe the whole overall experience is UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We should have known from the first day of this horrific experience. From the first day when the whole process took nine, yes 9 hou UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We should have known from the first day of this horrific experience. From the first day when the whole process took nine, yes 9 hours! The test drive and decision to sign for a 42 month lease was all done in about 2 hours. The rest of the process was waiting for the finance department to put together numbers and a contract for the lease. We left with the car that day very happy with the car but baffled with the long finance process. Ironically, the dealership called us a month later stating that there was an issue with the original contract and that we needed to come back and sign a new one. We made arrangements to meet with the finance officer, Will, that Sunday morning at 11:00am. By 11:50 he was still no show even though he directly made the appointment with us and was notified that we were there by a colleague via text that we were waiting. We then received a phone call from him a couple of days later asking when we could come sign the new contract. At which point we said that we were very put off by the dealership's unprofessional approach and that we would not be interested in signing a new lease. We then spoke to Will's boss David who was very helpful and understanding. He was the one person that was professional and helpful. He understood and was sympathetic to our concerns and voiced his displeasure of his colleague's mishandling of the situation. He faxed us the new contract but we saw changes in it from the original contract and were no longer comfortable with Star Fiat and their mishandling of everything up to that point. Again, David was understanding and said to come in and the GM Nick will make arrangements to take back the car and just charge us for mileage used and we can walk away with both parties content. Upon arriving to Star Fiat we met with Nick the GM and was expecting to have a cordial and seamless conversation. Completely wrong in our expectations. He was confrontational in the showroom floor out in the general front desk area and said that his lawyers will be in contact with us.He was aggressive, unprofessional, and upset with us because his staff mishandled the whole fiasco. I asked how it is that he is taking such an aggressive attitude towards us when we came in, did all that was asked from our side and did nothing wrong but get mishandled. He said that he was upset with his staff but how could we be driving around in the car and putting miles on it. I was very confused by this question considering we had signed a lease agreement, left a down payment and were just awaiting our first monthly bill from them so why wouldn't we drive the car??? He then asked for the keys to the car and would not give us a car return receipt or even write on a piece of company letterhead that we returned the car. I can't stress enough how thoroughly disappointed we are that we are no longer in possession of a car that we were very happy with but had to return due to ineptitude, horrific guest relations and quite possibly the worst customer service we have ever had the misfortune of encountering. We hope that whomever is reading this will not do business with Star Fiat in hopes to avoid a terrible experience for them and avoid feeling bullied rather than comforted or eased seamlessly into a vehicle.
