Knowledgeable and Honest - What a concept! An excellent experience having my car serviced at Star. I cannot convey how grateful I am for giving me good honest service. Even if my assessment was overrated, compared to the dealership in Inwood where I went first, it is Night and Day, Apples and Arsenic. To summarize this sordid tale, let me start with the vehicle. A 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. Less than 5k miles on it, however it was hardly driven and then sat un-driven for almost 2 years due to extraneous issues. Upon starting up, the Engine runs fine. However, almost every error light was lit on the dash board and there where functionality issues like the Engine would not shut down right away after key removal. The side doors would not operate while the engine was on. Sometimes the Dome light won't go out, some dials on the dashboard where not working, and other weird glitches. I am no Auto Mechanic but I have some knowledge of Electronics and these issues felt like a computer or other electrical related problem. To summarize, the service center in Inwood are, at best, not very knowledgeable and/or dishonest. (I am being extremely conservative in my wording for the sake of this review). First wanting to charge for each symptom I described, then calling me later to tell me that the Valve Body assembly on the engine needed to be replaced along with the ABS module. There is more but to keep this short, needless to say I cancelled any further repairs, paid the almost $200 service and got out of Dodge as quickly as possible. (Pun intended.) I only went to that service center despite the reviews because they were closer to where I live. Next stop Star. Lou was very welcoming and listened and noted everything I had to say in terms of symptoms and what I suspected the problem to be. (I did not mention the previous place and experience.) He was very helpful and even agreed with my assessment that the problems appear electrical in nature and not mechanical. Star kept me updated as to the progress and what they found. The mechanics and Engine where in very good condition. Seems rodents had nested in engine compartment and had chewed into one of the cable harnesses, shorting out a few of the computer modules. Rather than to try to milk the situation like the other place, Star's technician's (They Rock by the way) determined that they could repair the damaged cables. They replaced a few of the computer modules that where damaged by the shorting cables. Even inspected the vehicle for me. These guys are terrific. Lou is the best! The other place wanted wanted almost $2200 for work and parts that would not have fixed the problems. I drove out of Star with the feeling that the vehicle was properly repaired. Thanks again Star. It is refreshing to encounter an honest and knowledgeable service center. You are deserving of 5 stars. More

I’ve gone to other dealership service centers in the area that belittled me n kept m I must applaud Star Chrysler for its prompt n exemplary service!! I’ve gone to other dealership service centers in the area that belittled me n kept my car in their shop for over 3 weeks for minor repairs.. It’s a great feeling to know that You can trust Star mechanics to repair your car n have it back to you so fasttt... All the service personnel should also be applauded for their exemplary customer service — Will definitely keep praising n referring people to you!!! More

My review I gave the service center three stars because although the service for once took less than an hour I had to Request an updated sticker that notifies m I gave the service center three stars because although the service for once took less than an hour I had to Request an updated sticker that notifies me when it is time for my car to be serviced again. The old one was left on. And after I drove off I noticed that my car was still giving me the message that I am in need of an oil change when that was the service that was Supposed to be taken care of. I had to go back for them to reset it. Then as I looked closely at the sticker they provided for me I noticed that it still had the wrong date. The new sticker was telling me that I don’t come back for service until 2020. I couldn’t get a definitive answer that all of my fluids like windshield wiper fluid etc. was topped off. Looking at the receipt I believe that the price went up and I could’ve easily gone to someplace else for a cheaper rate. I just feel that in their attempt to get the job done quickly the quality of service was subpar. More

The guy who took the info and parked the vehicle ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, when you tell someone go slow exiting the area or you will scrape the front bumper and he does it anyway that's called INCOMPETENCE, HE SCRAPED the bottom of the bumper on a literally BRAND NEW HELLCAT, THIS GUY IS UTTERLY INCOMPETENT TO PARK A BICYCLE FORGET CARS. for this reason alone after they repair the cars warranty concerns I may never come here again. One thing for sure when I do come back keep that guy away from my car he isn't touching it or parking it! More

I took the car into the dealer for inspection and they found that the bearings in the front wheels will have to be replaced the strut, rear strut was leaking and other minor problems which they took care of. Then I drove the car to Pennsylvania on Tuesday and return on Wednesday and the Journey was back in good shape. Am happy and thank you Star. More

The receptionist are rude with a lack of manners and curtesy to say the very least, this is how the company is represented these staff members should The receptionist are rude with a lack of manners and curtesy to say the very least, this is how the company is represented these staff members should show an adequate representation of the goals and model for your cooperation and if these are the faces and mannerisms that the customers get to experience first hand, then how do you expect to keep your customers. Upon taking payment for my service job the cashier spent most of her time fiddling with her phone trying to place a personal call, not once did she extend a pleasant acknowledgement, a hello, thank you or even a good-bye. Her stone faced expression held firm and the only exchange of words is when she said “sign here, use that pen right there.” Total lack of service quality as this was the one person I spent most of my time dealing with on a face-to-face interaction. Establishments that don’t treat people well won’t always last. However the one representative I did find to be helpful pleasant and courteous was my advisor Louis Senatore More
