Liars, No customer Ser, No call backs, inflate interest rate I went to Star Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Queens (3 hrs away from home) for a 2015 Blk on Blk Caravan RT fully loaded. There is not many of these classy I went to Star Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Queens (3 hrs away from home) for a 2015 Blk on Blk Caravan RT fully loaded. There is not many of these classy fully loaded sport vans out there so I was very limited on where to buy it. We were working with a salesman named Joe. AT 1st he was very nice & somewhat patient to sell us the van BUT we were told there was no way to see the van because it was on some other lot & to take his word that it was the exact van I was looking for (1st problem & concern - I was being sold a van that I did not even see yet). He wrote up some numbers on where we wanted to be & said no problem we will get you to the payment you want. I’ve heard the horror stories about dealerships running your credit report to a lot of different places & crashing your score down. I told them I did not want them to do that because my credit score was low to begin with & I was concerned it would bring it down more. It was close to closing time so the finance guy was not there, the manager John assured me I would be approved but he wanted to check my credit first to see if my score was above 600, he checked it & he said it was fine, it was above 600 & not to worry (2nd problem - he lied about my score being above 600 to get my deposit out of me & to sign right there & then). The next day I figured I would get a phone call right away to finish up the deal & finalize the van. I received no phone calls & I had to call them late afternoon. The finance guy Kenny said he hasn’t got to it yet & that he was very busy with other customers & he would call me back. (3rd problem - I was not a priority anymore & put aside, he was too busy for me!) More time went by & still no phone call, I had to call again & this time none of them picked up the phone (Kenny, John, Joe). DO YOU GUYS WANT TO SELL CARS!! HELLO I AM A BUYING CUSTOMER!!! All of you should baby this sale until it is finalized!!! Where’s the customer service!! I needed to know what’s going on so we can finalize the deal. Finally I get in touch with Kenny again & he said my payment was going to be way more then what was quoted, it was because my credit score was too low. Why did John tell me it was ok & it wasn’t that low (someone is lying). I did my homework & I was told by other dealerships to be careful because bad dealerships will tack on more percentage to the interest rate (& be PIGS about it) & use the “your credit is not good” excuse to get more money out of you through the financing. People fall for it too easily because they really think they cannot do better & that is so sad because it’s just a big scam some dealers play. DEALERSHIPS THAT DO THIS ARE THIEVES! Unfortunately the financing companies allow this to happen (they share in the increased payment) & there is no way to get the finance company (the finance co. that the dealer used) to tell you what your percentage really was approved at, only the dealership can tell you & meanwhile they can tack on to that percentage as much as they want, there is no law against this & the finance companies & dealerships are all in on it but the dealership makes the final decision on how much to add to it. Because of the high interest rate Star was offering to me I decide to find my own financing which I did & was approved at a much better rate. I called up Star again & NO ONE took my calls again. AGAIN I was being ignored. I asked for someone to call me back (Kenny, Joe or the manager John) NO ONE CALLS BACK OVER THERE!!! so I called again 2 hours later. Finally Kenny gets on the phone & I told him I was approved for a better rate by applying for financing on my own. Instead of him being happy for me that I was excited to find a better rate & it would bring me closer to were I wanted to be in payments he was ANNOYED that he had to do more work now to get me the same rate or use the financing company I wanted to use. It was as if I was bothering them & they didn’t want to work for the sale anymore. WHAT THE HECK!!! I AM TRYING TO BUY A CAR & GET IT FINALIZED! to what will make me happy & comfortable but they are treating me like I am no longer important or they really don’t care anymore about selling me & finalizing the deal. I had just about had it! I am very close to going somewhere else & asking for my deposit back. After that last phone call with Kenny & hours later again no one calls back to let me know what’s going on. I called Joe & he was the rudest person I have every meet. He was yelling at me saying they are all too busy with customers, he was so rude & disrespectful, he hung up on me. HELLO I AM A CUSTOMER TRYING TO FINALIZE THE SALE!!!! Joe was the icing on the cake & that was IT!!@! I was done with these people giving me all this stress. I then for the last time called to speak to the manager to complain & cancel my deal. I asked for John the manager & of course he did not pick up & I left a message. Guess what? John the manager never called me back!!!! Even the manager does not call back. He could have tried to save the deal because that’s what managers are suppose to do but I guess he didn’t care either. What the heck kind of business are they running over there. At that point… I found another dealer that was WONDERFUL & they gave me all the attention I needed to get the sale finalized (Great customer service & they immediately called me back every-time), they also put me right where I wanted to be in price, monthly payment & finance percentage with NO GAMES, everything was black & white & I got the much Lower percentage rate that was originally approved for WITHOUT it being added on to. So I found out the new dealer used the same finance company that star had used, & they had approved me for a much lower rate than Star told me. Star Auto tried to tacked on an additional 5% more to the percentage I was really approved for & he lied directly to me & said they don’t do that. BE CAREFUL STAR AUTO TACKs on to the PERCENTAGE & uses the excuse that you have bad credit or what ever. Don’t trust them one bit!!! They lie, they won’t give you the customer service you deserve & they play games with the financing & numbers. DON’T TRUST THEM! not only that they would not give me back my $1,000.00 deposit. I had to dispute it through my credit card, which is still in dispute & will take a month before that money is resolved & off my credit card. The next day I was so annoyed that the Star Auto manager John did not call me back after I left a message on his voice mail that “the deal is going sour & I was very unhappy with the customer service”. I called him the next day & asked why he did not call me back & try to save the deal. He said “ I am sorry I was too busy with customers all day, how about we work it out now”, I said are you freaking kidding me!!! WOW!!! You had your chance yesterday to work it out & I already purchased it from another dealer that cares about their customers” UNBELIEVABLE! and now I am wondering if John was even the real manager or if I was lied to about that too? More

Bad experience for the 4th time This is my local dodge dealership, however I cannot say that is a good one I have visited them in various occasions within 10 years looking to purchas This is my local dodge dealership, however I cannot say that is a good one I have visited them in various occasions within 10 years looking to purchase a vehicle but each time I go I just keep having the worst experience each time. Sales men at this dealer have no experience whatsoever, they have no clue to what kind of cars are they selling. thay have very limited stock too, so I couldn't find the car that met my need, sales man decided to factory order the car saying that it would take 4 to 6 weeks. I couldn't wait any longer than that. A week later I found out at dodge.com that the car would take 10 to 12 weeks. Now they are refusing to give my deposit back. Which is totally refundable by law. I dealt with managers and supervisors and they are just rude. Don't even think of coming to this dealer if thinking to buy a car you will regret it, they are a team of unprofessional bullies by keeping my deposit hostage. More

They kept saying they couldn't find anything and the. I took the car to my own mechanic where my mechanic said the brake clips need to be changed and are loose. So i went back and came in at 7am. I was told it would take two hours after i explained what was the problem again and after the 3 hours my car hasn't been touched or worked on. So ive been sitting in the waiting room for over 3 hours now while my car still sitting outside. This place is a joke. More

Darryl at the desk was great, checking on recalls issued. He was very friendly and professional. While I waited for my car I also noticed a great rapport among the staff, which is a good sign of a well run establishment. Car was ready fast, and I was given the coupon price of 29.95 for the change even though I did not have coupon. Some reviews on here are as expected. If you're under water on your trade, or have a poor credit score, no one will make you happy. I will definitely be back, and recommend Star to friends. More

We were first time jeep lesees and any reputable dealer would have eaten this cost in forming a new client relationship but not this place. GM Nick is a meat head and will nickel and dime you the whole way. Got into a shouting match with him over us "not paying our bills" which is downright offensive. unprofessional and childish at every level- BUYER BEWARE. More
