Great experience shopping for a new Buick. I was greeted by Michael Frace after visiting three dealerships that day and was very dissatisfied with my experiences at the other dealerships. Michael was very respectful and knowledgeable on the product . I was very impressed with his ability to be patient while I shopped with my kids and offered my family drinks and made us feel at home. I have purchased a 2013 Buick Enclave and have already advised several of my friends to come buy off of Michael. If you are looking for a professional I recommend you ask for Michael Frace. More
Excellence in Performance I was scanning trucks in "TRUCK SHOPPER" on Wednesday evening ( 4/9), and I noted a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 was available. I checked the website for Star I was scanning trucks in "TRUCK SHOPPER" on Wednesday evening ( 4/9), and I noted a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 was available. I checked the website for Star that evening, and saw the truck was still available to be see, so I e-mailed Star, asking someone to contact me. On Thursday morning, I received a response from Paul Falcone. I called him and outlined what I wanted in a vehicle, and what I could afford to offer on the 2011 Sierra. I asked him to check with his manager if my proposal would be acceptable. He called me back shortly, and said yes, but he indicated he does not do actual sales, and would arrange for me to meet with a sales consultant. I indicated to Paul that I would arrive at 11:30 Thursday (4/10). When I arrived with my wife, Paul introduced us to Marcos Nascimento, the sales consultant. Marcos arranged for my wife and I to take the vehicle out for a test ride. After a very satisfactory drive, we returned to Star, and Marcos answered all my questions, and we set up a 4:00 time on Friday (4/11) to take delivery. My wife and I were both impressed by Marcos-- he is very friendly, outgoing, and extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles he sells! On Friday, I arrived at Star, and met with Marcos to finalize details of the purchase and sign the required documents. I also met briefly with Mark Miquel about extended service programs and warranties, which he explained were valuable options that I might want to purchase. Marcos and I then met to sign the required papers and documents, which was followed by a brief chat with Keith Muir, general manager, who wanted to ask about my experience at Star. I told Keith that I had been to another dealership only a few days earlier (Monday), and that my experience at another store was quite negative. The difference at Star was extreme and extremely positive! Every member of the Star team that I met was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Marcos Nascimento left me with a very positive impression for his warm, outgoing style and his knowledge and professional approach are both major assets -- for him and for Star Buick GMC! On Friday , I arrived at 4:00 and I was set to go at 5:00. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new or pre-owned vehicle that you START at Star Buick-GMC and seek out Marcos Nascimento. He is the consummate professional, and I am sure you will leave with a vehicle you will enjoy, and an experience you will remember positively. Because it had so low miles (4yrs old only 9,000 miles) we opted for extended warranty coverage. During the signing of the paperwork, a mistake was made and the effective date of the warranty was listed as incorrect. Fast forward two years and 3-4 problems with the vehicle, now one of which is a well known issue with the Acadia being a timing chain cover. I called to verify everything before deciding what we wanted to do moving forward. When I did so, the person told me the warranty was expired. According to my contract, it wasn't. We spoke to Clete immediately as we knew it was something that had to get to his level. Right away, instead of trying to push blame or do the wrong thing Clete took ownership of the situation and made it right. A great outcome and one that will keep customers like me coming back. Not only, will I be certainly well pleased with Star, I will tell my friends and family what an honest, trustworthy dealership that they are operating. The entire team through the service process from Bill Lindsay, Brian Gorman, and even Clete has been awesome. Every team member stepped up and gave their opinion and helped bring this to resolution for us. Star gave me the highest trade in value and the lowest price on my new GMC out of all the dealerships I visited. No pressure, no hassle, best price, and VERY friendly. I have purchased 3 trucks, my son 1 and my brother in law 1 from this dealership. I would have continued to purchase all my vehicles through this dealership up until my last experience. After 3 purchases the way we were treated once the deal was done was crazy! Ignored phone calls, lies! During our negotioation it was said that we have to get the hitch out of our current truck so the deal would not happen that day. We were told "Oh it's no problem we will take that out for you". When I get there suddenly it's a big deal, I kept saying maybe we should just wait we can remove the hitch in a few days. They then agreed it would be taken care of they would have someone in the service department remove the hitch. Of course after they said it would cost $100 which we refused and spoke to the manager about. Then we get a call saying no they can't do it unless we pay $400.. Then they stopped taking/returning calls even to the manager! Eventually my husband had to go lay in their parking lot removing the hitch himself without the proper tools because again he was laying in the parking lot! Thanks for the wonderful customer service. Hope your $100 or $400 since it changes by the minute was worth loosing 3 customers over! I will never ever purchase from your dealership again. I will go somewhere that isn't in such a hurry and doesn't tell customers lies to get a deal done. More
I had been searching for the GMC Sierra truck that I purchased on 2/27/14 for over 6 months. I was contacted immediately and I was dealt with in a very professional and friendly manner. When I decided to purchase the truck over the phone, I was assured that everything would be ready to go upon my arrival, as my family would be driving for 2 hrs to complete the trip to the dealership from my home in York, PA. When we arrived at the dealership, we were immediately greeted by Marcos and we were made to feel very welcome and like long lost friends. The dealership is immaculate, bright and very customer oriented. Our total time in the dealership to complete the purchase was just over 1 hour in length. One side note, I mentioned to Marcos that I had spied a GMC camo hat and liked it. Within 10 minutes, I had a new one in my possession to take home. We dealt with a finance person named Mark and all of the paperwork was very organized and even color coded for myself and my wife to make all of the appropriate signatures. Again I cannot overstate how pleased we all were and even my wife, who hates going to car dealerships, remarked how impressed she was. So in conclusion, we will be looking to Star for future purchases, and we will highly recommend the dealership to all of our friends. Thank you very much! More
