Good afternoon. We understand the frustration of unplanned maintenance so I did look into your complaint. What I found is you were in a year ago for the other cam sensor, so I broke it down. A year ago, our labor rate was $149 per hour, a year later our labor rate went up to $159 per hour. A year ago, it took 2.5 hours labor to replace the part for a total labor of $375.50. Your current repair took 2 hours for a total labor of $318. A year ago, the part was $158.03. This time, the part was $151.12. A year ago, your total repair order for parts and labor was $572.11. This time the total repair order for parts and labor was $519.77. We understand that you are frustrated and I hope this helps you with it broken down. I'm happy to send you copies of the repair order from last year so you can compare them side by side. Thanks for the response. However, I think if you investigated further you would see that my original billing was over $700 when I went to pick up my car. I informed the service advisor that handed me the bill that the amount billed was well over the amount quoted to me upon diagnosis prior to repair. He then acknowledged the substanyial price variance amd adjusted my bill. For which I am greatful.

My apologies as I could not see that on the repair order as I was viewing the final copy, so that was definitely my error. I guess I'm confused what the overall problem is. The final price was less than the year before bill, regardless of how you get there. Your original advisor is out today with a sick baby, perhaps he had just not made the final adjustments prior to your picking up. There's so many different scenarios that could have been. But in the end, we made it right and charged you accordingly. We appreciate your business and hope that we will see you again going forward, but respect whatever decision you make.
