Although a friend of mine is no longer a salesman here, my daughter and I decided to take her new leased car in for service at Springfield, thinking we would get better service at the dealership. I booked an appt. online (I think) about 3-4 weeks in advance. I am off on Monday's in the summer and this was my first Monday and I had a few things on my plate but had it all planned. I would drop car off the night before for my 9am appt. My mother was coming over with her car, treating her and daughter leaving for peace corp to breakfast, rush back to my house to meet someone dropping off used furniture between 1-3pm. Oh, dropped my mom off at her apartment in time for her to go to the hospital to visit sister. Luckily, I could keep her car to drive back out there with same daughter. Since I wrote that I'd try to be back at 11 to pick up car, I checked in with the service dept. (Everyone asked who my service technician is - how would I know that?) Anyway a gentleman said they just started doing the drop off cars off. I asked if I should call back around 2? I called back at 2 or 2:30 but got voice mail, left a message. Killed a bit of time, said I'd be on my way if I didn't hear back in 30 mins. Went to the service dept, was asked who my service technician was. I awkardly hung around the service area and someone asked to help me. I was told if I wait it would probably be the next one. I wanted to go to the lamp store on 420 but I was determined to get the car and get out. I told my daughter to leave and bring back car to her grandmother, she could run home from there, I waited for car, it was about 30 mins, I watched the tech bring it back, so I knew who to look for bringing back the paperwork. My car was left in line, however it was blocked in and I waited another 5 mins for that. I did explain my one bad experience to the person (? not sure if he was my service tech?) was that I expected to make an appt for a time, sometimes people can drop it off and sometimes they can't. Maybe next time, I'll get breakfast on Hyundai next door. My car was loaned to my other daughter who doesn't get any days off yet from her job in Berwyn. I figured a 6K or 7K check up should not take very long. I just like to get many things done when I can. It is a big item for me. If I brought my car in for an 8:45 appt. I would want to get my car in before the 9:00 person whether a drop off or waiting. More

I was in for a recall for a switch replacement.WhenI got there I was told I did not have are call but I had a recall for fuel. The girl that answered kept saying " hello" I answered her and she hung up on me. I called back asked for Cindy again and asked her to please not to hang up on me again , she did. I called an asked to speak to the Service mgr. He asked what my problem was? I proceeded to explain all the above to him. He(Steve) got loud and informed me that I got my recall. Not the recall I was there for, I knew nothing about any fuel recall Never heard of a FUEL RECALL.Rebate maybe? All I wanted to get it straight about the recall for the switch. One person says yes another says no. The rudeness escalated. I replied tha I could take this beyond him He yelled for me to take it to"God" because he Did NOT CARE!!!!!!!!! Steve said for me to call his boss and started giving me the 800 #. He also stated that this time the customer was WRONG. I never in all my life ever was treated with such rudeness. This person really needs manager skills and anger management classes. Just remember word of mouth is more carries more weight than any scale. I was very disappointed in how this was handled . I also spoke with Michelle on Saturday , the18th. She said I would get a call from Chris, GM NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. Must still be with a customer, that was the excuse I got when asked to speak with him. As a service mgr all Steve had to do was run the VIN # and my question would have been answered. Needless to say I lost time at work for nothing. Now you know why I would never recommend or use your facility again. Thak you,Steve. Sue Klein More

When I called about my recall, I was given an appointment and told it would be fixed in under an hour. So I rushed to get to my appt. and was told there were a lot of people in front of me and that I would h and told it would be fixed in under an hour. I replied that I made an appointment and the customer service representative just shrugged his shoulders as if that did not matter. So I repeated that I had an appointment. At this point the Manager Steve Mountes came over I told him that I made an appointment and he rudely replied to me that he heard me say that 4 times. I think I said it twice. I told him I made an appt and was told that it would be done in under an hour. He rudely told me that I did not make an appointment with his department. I inquired why I was given an appt when I called about my recall if they do not honor them. He told me he doesn't have a mechanic just magically waiting for me. I walked out of the service station. I had things I needed to get done. I planned a little over an hour to this errand. They need to be more considerate of customer's time. I can't believe how rude and condescending he was. I don't know how they keep any business. That is why I go anyway else but here to have my car maintenance done. I only made an appt for a recall. I am happy with my Santa Fe, but I will never buy from this dealer again. More

The service dept.took me on a Saturday morning and got me in and out in a very reasonable length of time, which was wonderful as I was to drive two elderly ladies on their errands for a Saturday.
