we began looking at hyundais in late april, starting with used. my husband made phone calls, did internet research, and we visited a number of dealerships in person, one of which was springfield hyundai. we used. my husband made phone calls, did internet research, and we visited a number of dealerships in person, one of which was springfield hyundai. we found the salesman, bill, to be very nice and decided to consider that dealership for our purchase. however, we did not make the purchase that night. over the next 6 weeks our shopping was interrupted by several urgent events at home and at work. we were unable to go back for a while, but were never bothered by tons of annoying phone calls from the dealership. bill called once or twice to ...guess what...see how we were doing with our difficulties at home. wow! finally we got a chance to go back, and did some more test driving.. i really had a hard time making up my mind about colors. bill was extremely patient and did not push or be aggressive in any way. we really appreciated that, since we were dealing with some other things. once again, we did not make a purchase because i could not decide, but we had a wonderful chat and really got to know each other without pressure. finally we went back, after spending some time discussing our options, and decided to sit down and negotiate a price. it was actually fun, buying this car. bill did everything in his power to make the deal a good one, and manager jason then became involved. he was excellent and a pleasure to work with. he took care of every question, every detail, and came through with a great price. we have bought many cars over the years, but this was definitely the best car buying experience ever, by far. I recently brought a used car (2007) from this dealership being assured they did a point check to make sure everthying was o.k. Less than 2 months the calipher and brakes go. I take the car back to the deale being assured they did a point check to make sure everthying was o.k. Less than 2 months the calipher and brakes go. I take the car back to the dealership and was told "What do you expect it is a used car" I paid over $15,000 for this car and I should have to pay over $700 in repairs in less than 2 months of ownership. I took it to another mechanis for repair and was told that the problem was there even before I brought the car. After telling the rude manager about this he still refused to help pay for repairs. AS A WARNING PLEASE DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN. If the dealership honestly told me that the brakes will probably go in the nest two months I would have NEVER brought the car. VERY DESCEPTIVE PRACTICES AT THIS DEALERSHIP More
I called Springfield Hyundai to inform them that the gas mileage they posted in their March 25 newspaper advertisements is way above the manufacturer's specifications and asked where they got their informat mileage they posted in their March 25 newspaper advertisements is way above the manufacturer's specifications and asked where they got their information.
A salesman named Bill said it is a misprint and asked "What do you want me to do about it?" and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager concerning this issue. Using obscene language, Bill yelled across the floor to Rick, the manager, and I was transferred to Rick's voicemail.
I called Bill back to ask him if it is often for a customer with a simple question to receive this type of service from Hyundai Springfield, and if so, how does he expect a customer to buy a vehicle. Bill replied that he doesn't want to sell me a vehicle anyway!
Bill then yelled across the floor "Help me out here, guys." Rick, the manager gets on the phone, says he doesn't want to do business with me, and hangs up!
Great Customer Relations Skills! What do you expect. They are only salesmen. More
