Drove an hour to get car serviced and will do so again!! I was impressed with this dealership when I bought my 2016 Mazda 6 in April. Normally I don't trust car dealerships for service, preferring to use my I was impressed with this dealership when I bought my 2016 Mazda 6 in April. Normally I don't trust car dealerships for service, preferring to use my own mechanic, but since I had a free 5,000 mile check up included with my purchase I decided to give Sport Mazda Service a try. Don Larson was my service coordinator and I asked him to investigate a few quirks with my new car while he did the oil change and tire rotation. He updated the GPS software for me and said all was well with the car. He even took the time to show me how to properly use my electronic key to get the back doors opened--it's all in the timing LOL. Aaron the tech who serviced my car left me a nice thank you note for trusting them to service my vehicle--so sweet and a nice touch to know who actually worked on the car in case anything should go awry. Donny is always professional, efficient, and explains what service was performed on your car in understandable terms. While waiting for my service to be completed, I had the pleasure of dealing with two other Sport Mazda team members as well as reconnecting with my salesman Kyle Whitten. Kyle told me that Sport Mazda hired two full-time product specialists to help new car owners learn how to operate their new vehicles with a full personal orientation rather than trying to read the large vehicle manual. Since this car was way high tech compared to my last Mazda 6 which had simple on/off knobs to control most things and no bluetooth or built in navigation system, I was struggling to get the most out of what the vehicle could offer. So Stephanie Santiago stepped in and gave me a full orientation to my Mazda 6. She set up my bluetooth, imported my phone contacts, thoroughly explained the exact words I had to use to get the navigation (Navigate To not Go To) voice system working smoothly, how to preset radio stations and even search by music genre (how cool is that), how to work the climate control system for dual persons and lots of other little tricks I hadn't yet discovered and reaffirmed that one indeed cannot turn off the radio only just mute it (that one was driving me crazy). Another team member that went above and beyond was Mike Figueroa at the Parts Department. This summer I was looking for a windshield shade to keep the interior of the car cooler. I had read reviews on line of the Mazda custom product but it was very pricey so I tried finding a cheaper alternative. My advice is don't bother--most stores didn't carry one that even listed the 2016 Mazda 6 and the few generic ones I tried were garbage. So I talked to Mike in the Parts Dept while there and he showed me the custom fit Mazda 6 window shade. I couldn't visualize how it would stay in place with no straps, so Mike took one out of the box and went to my car and showed me how it fit perfectly in my vehicle and would stand up without hooks, clamps or anything--even without the visors holding it place--just like magic. So I decided to buy it. Mike told me the original cost, but then said he'd use his employee discount to get the price reduced by over $15 so that made me very happy. The only drawback to this sunshade is that it cannot be rolled up, as it is very heavy/sturdy and folds flat, but that is also precisely why it fits so well and stands up without complicated installation. So keep the box it comes in to store it in your trunk when not in use. Overall I was very satisfied with the personal attention and service that I received at Sport Mazda during my car service appointment, so much so that I had Stephanie program in the new location they are moving to into my Navigation System as I will be returning to have them service my new Mazda even though I live an hour away.
