Hello, this is Jay Mealey Owner/Sport Mazda. I agree with your views here and apologize that this transaction was not handled better by my dealership. You mention the Sales Person was the bright spot yet I see that they seem to have been the weak link here? I agree it is unacceptable to make a purchase like this, in cash and both experience the wait you did by not being prepared ahead of time (this is the Sales Person's job and it is absolutely the way our process is supposed to work) I also agree that this vehicle should not have required the additional mechanical work although I am fairly certain the reason it was purchased outside of the state was the aggressive "wholesale to the public" price. Some vehicles carrying pricing this aggressive are supposed to listed more along the lines of "as is" vehicles. All in all, what you are describing is a sales person not following our store policies and guidelines. Is there anyway you can contact me directly with more details, I would like to get to the bottom of this so we can ensure it is handled better next time, etc. I also would like to have my General Sales Manager reach out to you and see what else we can do to help you recoup you losses here.
