(This is a duplicate reply) Hello, this is Jay Mealey, Owner - Sport Mazda. I would like to sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding our used car fee structure. Unfortunately it seems like we did have some information that was misinterpreted here. We clearly state on our website that we have no dealer fees on New Mazdas. Again unfortunately this does not apply to our used car model. With used cars we still pay for transportation, prep and many other things and as I stated in my video on our website, with our new Mazda business the factory is covering many of these additional expenses with additional money being paid to the Dealer’s. About three years ago I launched the new dealer fee on New Mazda’s because I thought it was a great opportunity to save New Mazda shoppers money - again, since Mazda was paying money on each sale directly to my dealership I was trying to pass the savings on to the consumer. With all that being said, I can certainly understand your frustration here and I feel bad about the confusion you experienced. Please reach out to me directly if there’s anything at all I can do for you and I would not have a problem at all working the numbers for you and seeing if we can absorb most of the fee structure by lowering the price in your case.
