Sport Mazda

I went to the Sports Mazda on OBT after visiting at least 5 other dealerships looking for a good deal on a car for my wife. My wife and I got there on the day before Thanksgiving at 6:30pm. There was a few people in the dealership. My wife and I went over to the used CX-9 SUV's. We knew want we wanted. What we also needed was a sales person who could make the numbers crunch for my wife and I to afford this car. That's when Kerwin came in to the picture. We told kerwin from the begining that we had a budget and couldn't go over that amount. He assured us that he would do everything in his power to get the price we needed to afford. But first he took us around in the car. He explained thoroughly how everything worked and assured us that if in the future we had any questions that we could call him at the dealership or on his cell phone and he would help. This is comforting to me and my wife, because she will be the person driving that vehicle and hauling my children around to different places. Finally, we went to financing. I am not an easy person to deal with when it comes to spending money. However, Kerwin and the finance team were easy to work with. Kerwin never put the pressure on me to rush my decision. We went back and fourth a few times until I felt comfortable. Then we closed the deal. But before we finished,when everyone had already left the building, Kerwin stayed around a little longer to make sure my wife was ready to take ownership of the car. It was well after closing time and Kerwin was still working with us. Eric Whitten took time to show me the different cars that were in my price range. He worked with his managers on the price and was extremely informative and encouraging. I visited the dealership on a Friday afternoon along with Chevrolet and Acura, and made the decision to go back to Sport Mazda the next day and work with Eric on the CX-9. I am so happy I did! I love my car, so much...it is fun to drive, sporty, and the dealership did what I felt they needed to do to secure our deal and satisfy me. Visited their web site first, looking for a Miata new or used. Found exactly what I needed (or wanted) and visited their dealership on a Sunday. I had preselected what I wanted on their site and when salesman Eric Whitten approached me, I asked to see the car. We took a test drive and that sold me on it. This was a very relaxing experience, with no high pressure. Of course I had sold myself on the car, but it helped that they have such a clean facility and friendly people. Eric did a fine job in pricing the car and going over the details. I also met with finance manager Woody to cover warranty and the paperwork and met briefly with sales manager Levi Stanislas. Very pleasant people and fine transaction. I look forward to picking up the car this week and enjoying winter driving with the top down here in Florida. More

I had been dealing with someone else on the phone and was told that the person only worked one day a week when I tried to reach them. I then started working with the above person who took down all of my inf told that the person only worked one day a week when I tried to reach them. I then started working with the above person who took down all of my information and that of my co-signer as they knew I had some credit issues but with the co-signer I was going to be fine ( I was told by the first person). I was told that he would call me back within the hour, two-three hours went by and nothing. I decided to call and spoke to him and he was rude by just saying, "Well, we are still working on your deal" so I will get back to you once I get something. As I was in the market to buy a car, I decided to take the ride there and see if maybe when they saw me in person they would know I was serious about buying. Well, I got there and after a few minutes some guy approaches me asking what's your name? I looked at him and said, What's yours? He said, I'm Alejandro, I then told him, Hi, I'm here to see Fariq, then he said.... That's me, I looked at him and said, I thought you said your name was Alejandro?????? Then he preceeded to tell me that was just his nick name!!! I felt this guy was full of it! Then he told me he was going to check in the status of my application, after 10 more minutes he came out and started talking to another customer that was in the lot and left me standing there. Eventually he came up to me telling me that they were still working on it and that they would call me once they were finished!!! That was 2 days ago and I still haven't heard back from them. Poor business practice as I believe that If I wasn't able to buy, and was treated with respect, I would recommend the dealer to someone else!!! I ended up going to Classic Mazda where I'm buying the vehicle I wanted and where I was treated with respect. So if you want for your sales person to be upfront with you and honest DO NOT VISIT SPORTS MAZDA on OBT! More
