I had been dealing with someone else on the phone and was told that the person only worked one day a week when I tried to reach them. I then started working with the above person who took down all of my inf told that the person only worked one day a week when I tried to reach them. I then started working with the above person who took down all of my information and that of my co-signer as they knew I had some credit issues but with the co-signer I was going to be fine ( I was told by the first person). I was told that he would call me back within the hour, two-three hours went by and nothing. I decided to call and spoke to him and he was rude by just saying, "Well, we are still working on your deal" so I will get back to you once I get something. As I was in the market to buy a car, I decided to take the ride there and see if maybe when they saw me in person they would know I was serious about buying. Well, I got there and after a few minutes some guy approaches me asking what's your name? I looked at him and said, What's yours? He said, I'm Alejandro, I then told him, Hi, I'm here to see Fariq, then he said.... That's me, I looked at him and said, I thought you said your name was Alejandro?????? Then he preceeded to tell me that was just his nick name!!! I felt this guy was full of it! Then he told me he was going to check in the status of my application, after 10 more minutes he came out and started talking to another customer that was in the lot and left me standing there. Eventually he came up to me telling me that they were still working on it and that they would call me once they were finished!!! That was 2 days ago and I still haven't heard back from them. Poor business practice as I believe that If I wasn't able to buy, and was treated with respect, I would recommend the dealer to someone else!!! I ended up going to Classic Mazda where I'm buying the vehicle I wanted and where I was treated with respect. So if you want for your sales person to be upfront with you and honest DO NOT VISIT SPORTS MAZDA on OBT! More

ON 16 FEB 2010 I HAD TO STOP BY SPORT MAZDA FOR SERVICE. I WAS CHARGED $343.24 DOLLARS FOR LABOR TO CHANGE MY OIL AND REPLACED MY THERMOSTAT. AFTER CONDUCTING A RESEARCH ON MY OWN, I FOUND OUT THAT MAZDA C I WAS CHARGED $343.24 DOLLARS FOR LABOR TO CHANGE MY OIL AND REPLACED MY THERMOSTAT. AFTER CONDUCTING A RESEARCH ON MY OWN, I FOUND OUT THAT MAZDA CHARGES 101 FOR LABOR WHICH EQUALS $107.80 PER HOUR. I CONTACTED MAZDA CORPORATION (NOT SPORT MAZDA) TODAY AND WAS INFORMED THAT SPORT MAZDA HAS THE RIGHT TO CHARGE THEIR OWN LABOR RATE. I STILL BELIEVE THAT I WAS OVER CHARGED (3.17 HOURS) FOR LABOR. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT TO REPLACE A THERMOSTAT AND ENGINE OIL WOULD REQUIRED MORE THAN TWO HOURS OF LABOR. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD BUT PRICING WENT REALLY BAD. HERE IS MY CUSTOMER INVOICE NUMBER 74581. More
We had a really stress free experience with this dealership. We started with the USAA and Consumer Reports bottom line price and asked for a price less than that. We were quoted a few hundred belo dealership. We started with the USAA and Consumer Reports bottom line price and asked for a price less than that. We were quoted a few hundred below and we accepted. Then they tried to add on the dealer fee which I know they have to list. I asked if they could subtract that from the quote and add it back in and they agreed. We also asked for another discount for buying the car on the lot instead of having them bring in a car from another area. Most of the negotiations were done by e-mail so our time at the actual dealership was short. We will definitely recommend this dealer, especially Josh to everyone. He was calm, staight-shooting and didn't play any high-pressured sales games. More
Overall my experience with Sport Mazda was pleasant. Kerwin my sales associate was an all around nice guy. He didn't try and pull one over on me and was willing to listen to my side of the story. Whil Kerwin my sales associate was an all around nice guy. He didn't try and pull one over on me and was willing to listen to my side of the story. While I have never enjoyed going to dealerships, this one was an overall decent experience. The negotiations over my car did not go as smooth as I had hoped, and at one point I was about ready to walk away after talking with the guy who was doing the pricing on my trade. I don't tolerate rudeness very well, but you can't cut down a tree for one bad apple. Kerwin was always kind and as helpful as can be. He even remembered me after seeing me show up a few weeks later. That's a rarity with people who see hundreds of faces per day. All in all, I'd say the experience with Sport Mazda was a positive one, but just watch out for the tradesman negotiator. He can be a pita if you do not see eye to eye with him. More
Sport Mazda is the best dealership we have dealt with so far. Their sales team was straight shooting and presented all finance options and scenarios up front. They worked hard to ensure that all our needs are covered, explained differences between trims, and gave us plenty of time to test drive the vehicle. Once we made an offer for the vehicle we selected, they actually managed to better the deal. After the sale, they followed up with us at least twice to ensure that we were satisfied and whatever minor adjustments we needed with the vehicle was completed. Even their service department is pleasant to deal with, rarely so in other dealerships. While it is true that the current economic situation forces almost every dealer to provide aggressive pricing, shady practices are also abound. Thankfully, there is still a few, Sport Mazda being one of them, that is a class above the rest. More
