Often one will hear the phrase, "We treat you like family" from someone looking to sell you something. However this is the rare time I've seen that concept put into practice. No one ever took out the time to show us where the service area was, to introduce us to the General Manager, or the Business Manager stop by and introduce himself in the course of doing or conducting business. I had done my homework prior to going to the dealership. I knew what a fair price would be for the car we were looking at purchasing, since the particular make and already been decided, the on-line inventory checked to ensure the car we were looking for was in stock and available before we ever made the trip to the dealer. After our initial negotiations, the payment was still a bit higher than what we were comfortable with. Our salesman Angel Lopez and the General Manager worked to get the payment more in line with what we were comfortable paying and less than what many on-line pundits postulated would be a 'fair price' for the car we chose. Angel Lopez was friendly, cordial, amiable, and professional. He knew his product and what seemed like a laundry list of technology that cars have become today in order to not only function, but meet customer demand for those kinds of amenities. That task alone must be daunting working across the myriad platforms and operating systems indigenous to the various makes and models of vehicles those systems are installed in. He truly made our purchase a painless buying experience. Certainly, that is his job, but he did it above and beyond what one would consider to be satisfactory in order to accomplish his task. That is the familial atmosphere to which I eluded in the first paragraph; our experience was that comfortable. Having bought the Passat TDI, we anticipate not having to replace that car for many years to come. I recommend this dealer and Mr. Angel Lopez highly to anyone that is considering a new car purchase.
