I am the Director of Operations at Sport Durst Automotive Group and I am responding to this customer complaint. The customer came into purchase a vehicle on February 24, 2013 and decided not to purchase at this time. After 4 days of deliberation the customer did come back in to Sport Durst Automotive group and purchased a 2009 Ford Flex with 79,000 Miles. When completing the paperwork in our business office we offer our customers the opportunity to purchase additional products that would protect their investment in case of an accident or to insure they have mechanical protection after the manufacturer's warranty has expired. After reviewing the products the customer elected NOT to purchase an extended warranty. Lastly, to eliminate any confusion, we have all of customers sign off on a finance disclosure document that once again outlines the products purchased or declined and the cost associated with each product. What the customer is referring to on 100% Parts and Labor covered is our powertrain warranty which last 3 months or 3,000 miles. A powertrain warranty covers Engine, Transmission and Drive Train and internally lubricated parts. As the manufacturer’s warranty was out of warranty, the item the customer is talking about was not covered.

Allow me to respond to the Director of Operations response. I did purchase the vehicle.....I was not offered any sort of extended warranty. I did not sign off on any such thing. the 100% parts and labor warranty was not specified to me as to what it didn't cover, nor what it did. the sticker panel in the window at time of sale did not specifiy. it is understandable that in fact some things are not going to be covered under warranty. However, being lied to repeatedly every day, about the whereabouts, and progress of my vehicle, ending up finding out that no such parts had even been ordered by University Ford, after being lied to for days on end that they were waiting on them. In fact, they did not even look at the climate control buttons, they were never told about them. University Ford service manager added that they were prepared to make the repairs authorized at just that notice from Sport Durst. being lied to another 2 weeks about that, and nothing was happening. Until County Ford, in my home town....34 miles away from Sport Durst....found my vehicle parked outside, keys in after hours drop box Monday morning the 8th of April.... Now ....this isn't a warranty issue any longer...its a lieing issue, its a distrust issue, and making me wait for weeks on end for the return of my car.....i feel that i am unjustly served. and once again..I offer a chance to make me happy and fix my car, at county Ford in Graham, and we can part ways after, with my thoughts on good buisness.
