Tony was informative and fair, he did not pressure us. He was not pushy or aggressive. We felt he was very honest and upfront. we were given a fair deal on our trade in. this is the third Hyundai sonata we was not pushy or aggressive. We appreciate the friendly customer service, Charles is great, and has always done a great job working on our sonatas. More
From my first visit to Sport Durst, when I met Ricky Copelin, I was very impressed. He took me seriously, realized immediately that I had done my homework, and didn't try to push me. When I went back Copelin, I was very impressed. He took me seriously, realized immediately that I had done my homework, and didn't try to push me. When I went back several weeks later to test drive the Elantra, he answered questions and was informative but not pushy. When I came back with my husband to test drive the Sonata and Sonata Hybrid, our experience was the same -- good information, fair treatment, letting us make the decision. We ultimately chose a 2012 Sonata Limited, got a fair price from Ricky and his manager, and felt like we'd made the right choice without undue influence from anyone at the dealership. When we went back to close the deal the next day, our experience was the same, and the help we got from Ken Massenburg in the business office was professional and efficient. We've never found car buying to be a fun experience, because of the stress associated with the decisionmaking and the negotiating, but these folks made it as smooth as possible. More
My visit was for service/repair, but I left a proud owner of another reliable and durable Mazda Tribute. I have the unique experience of meeting a salesperson who was not pushy, but dilignet in ensuring that of another reliable and durable Mazda Tribute. I have the unique experience of meeting a salesperson who was not pushy, but dilignet in ensuring that my experience was not stressful or even uncomfortable as car purchasing can become. Ma'Chae took the extra effort to make to experience memorable. The supporting staff, Sales Manager, Business/Finance Manager and other associates were also helpful. I encourage you to continue to with the mantra of excellence in customer service and experience. More
Should have know when I walked all the way across the Hyundai dealership and through 2 other cars lots before someone greeted me that my experience was not going to be a promising one. I was finally gre Hyundai dealership and through 2 other cars lots before someone greeted me that my experience was not going to be a promising one. I was finally greeted by someone in training at the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership (also owned by Sports Durst)- for whom I will write a separate review for a stellar experience. That evening I test drove 3 cars - the last being the Santa Fe, which I without a doubt, preferred over the other 2 cars. I spent 2-3 hours that evening talking with the sales person from the Dodge dealership, who again was very helpful. He put me in touch with Ken Neill as I had mentioned to him that I had requested a price through the internet. Ken emailed me a quote after talking to the Dodge sales person and followed the email with a phone call. During the phone call he told me that he could not spend his time negotiating a price unless I could come back into the dealership. I tried to explain to him that I really do not have time to spend a couple more hours in the dealership negotiating. I emailed him the following morning and asked that he discuss with his sales manager and see if he could continue negotiations via email. His sales manager (Kristen Poole) emailed me and ask again what car, trim etc I was looking for (after I had gone over this with at least 3 people already), and said she would let me know what they could do for me. I told her what I wanted, explained that I am a single mom of a 6 year old girl, work full time, and have very little time to come into the dealership. Her response back to me was basically - too bad, "that is as good as we can do." Meaning they cannot continue negotiations with me outside of the showroom. Needless to say, this was all it took for me to response with a no thanks I'll be shopping elsewhere. So, bottom line - don't waste your time or energy....NOT worth the very small discount that you MAY get after spending hours in the showroom. My hope is that this review will help someone in trying to decide which dealer to work with in this area and to hopefully institute better sales practice/flexibility at the dealer. I will also pass this experience along to all work colleagues and on-line in hopes of sparing someone the same experience. More
Hello,i just wanted to write to let you know about my HORRIBLE experience with sport durst. Three weeks ago i went in to have my wipers looked at on my 2008 Dodge Charger, the sales rep came outside and i HORRIBLE experience with sport durst. Three weeks ago i went in to have my wipers looked at on my 2008 Dodge Charger, the sales rep came outside and introduced himself and got me to do a credit application, he than came back and told me i was approved for a brand new 2011 Charger i took time to think about it but i went through with the process, he appraised my car and had me call my finance company to get a payoff. well they than came back and said i needed a co signer which i got my father to do it. well long story short three full weeks went passed and i received a call from a sales manager one of the managers on Wednesday saying that the deal did not go through and i needed to bring the car back. I did not have a problem with this i told him i would have it back on Thursday by 11:00 and i kept my word. When i arrived there i went in and spoke to the other manager short white guy with a buzz cut? For starters he sent an associate out to the car and snatched the tags out like i was trying to steal the vehicle. As the manager an I continued to talk the conversation just went wrong bc i did not have the bank card that was used for my down payment and i just wanted to know why i needed it, i stay way on the northern side of Durham so that's why i asked well it quickly came the the point where your manager told me to get out of HIS dealership or he would THROW me out, he told me that i was not going to get my down payment back and he called the police and if that wasn't enough he went to the car where my fiance and two small children were waiting, and screamed telling them to get out his car and get off the property. They had not brought MY car around yet so my 1 and 3 year old had to stand in the parking lot at the Room-store in the 100 degree heat. until the police arrived where we still waited an additional 30 mins for my car to come around. Yes i cursed and got very upset in the show room but to be treated like your not human just feels so degrading. I asked for a manager in a higher position and i was told that "Trey was the big dog" well if this is the case Trey and ALL of the managers at the store needs to go through additional training because we own a catering company and it's one thing that you NEVER do when doing business is allow a customer to make you lose your composure, and NEVER turn out your own business... Had a quick and easy buying experience. However, I would recommend that Sales provides complete information, so as not to come across as deceitful. My car was not in stock, so it had to come from another l recommend that Sales provides complete information, so as not to come across as deceitful. My car was not in stock, so it had to come from another location, 100 miles away...instead of putting it on a delivery trailer, it was driven to the dealership. Which meant my car didn't feel "new" with over 120 miles on it...and I don't know how many potholes it endured on the drive over...ugh! More
