All the staff at this dealership has excellent customer service skills from the time you walk in the door til you walk out. My husband knew he wanted a VW due to it being highly recommended by his friends and also the great gas mileage. We ultimately decided on a VW Jetta but we were kinda picky. We wanted a Blue one with standard shift. Unfortunately, they couldn't find us a blue one, but black was our back up color. Steve Bush, our salesman, was incredible! NOT PUSHY AT ALL. He answered our questions and allowed us time to talk things through without any pressure at all. Todd, the general manager, was very professional and Dawn was a hoot. We had some mechanical questions, so we had the privilege to speak with John Haslage who knew his stuff and answered our questions completely. If we had one negative thing that could be improved it would be that the financial guy, Rick, was quite cocky and arrogant while we were signing papers. On an even happier note, WE LOVE OUR NEW CAR!!!!!! Thank you so much Steve, Todd, Dawn and John for making our car buying experience amazing. It had been over 12 years since we bought a new car but you made it great!! We will definitely recommend you again. More

I had been looking for a Jetta Sportwagen TDI 6-speed manual for months. I noticed the new listing from Spitzer right away and I have family in the area, so I asked if they could look at it. The car was priced to sell, but they waited for me to arrive from Wisconsin to pick up the car. I can't complain about the people at Spitzer VW Amherst. There was an internet manager from Spitzer Cleveland that I wasn't a fan of. More

First contact with Mr. Bush July 2013 test drove the VW Passat model we wanted.Informed him we were targeting Oct. 2013 purchase. However, August financing deals were irresistible. My husband contacted him beginning of August and said we were ready to buy and take advantage. He gave Mr. Bush the specifics and was told that he would work on it and get back to us. Never heard from him again. So the end of August, while researching area dealership inventories, contacted Ed Schmidt VW in Toledo. Within 48 hours he got the car we wanted, in the color we wanted with the specs we wanted. We've had it for a month and love it. P.S. we also told Mr. Bush that we are also seriously looking at replacing out current tow vehicle with a VW Toureg within the following 2 years. Likely will not be returning to Spitzer, since Ed Schmidt in Toledo was so prompt and accommodating with round one.Summary: lost $29,000 sale in round one...likely not to get second sale for $35,000+ in 2 years hence...total loss of sales in 2 years...roughly $65,000....lost service attached to those 2 vehicles in the years to come....priceless. More

No consideration for other's time. Poor communication. Drove 4 hours to view a car that was called pristine. 4 curb rashed rims, a door scuff, and miscellaneous interior dings and scuffs communication.
