I felt it was time in my life for a newer car which brought me to Spitzer Chevrolet in Northfield and Darrell Zauszniewski. I had scoured spritzers' website and selected a couple used vehicles I was i brought me to Spitzer Chevrolet in Northfield and Darrell Zauszniewski. I had scoured spritzers' website and selected a couple used vehicles I was interested in. That was my first contact with Darrell at which time he offered to have them up front and ready for my perusal. Upon arrival, I was met by Darrell who handed my a key and said ‘let’s go for a ride!’ .. He must have had a premonition and knew that was the one for me. There was absolutely no pressure as Darrell let the car sell itself . . . I felt he answered all my questions with honesty and sincerity. After the purchase, he pointed out some issues that he had wanted cleared up prior to putting it on the lot, but didn’t happen. He then said, even after the sale, that he’d have those issues taken care of as part of the purchase agreement. By all rights, he did not have to do that as the car was being sold “as is” . . . But, he wanted the car ‘right’ for his customer. I found that quite amazing, as this purchase was not my first car . . . If you’re in the market for a new or used car, go to Spitzer Chevrolet in Northfield and ask for Darrell Z! More
Came in for a simple full synthetic oil change and until I got home I didn’t realize that they put in conventional oil and not synthetic after I checked my paperwork. I was told several things about the mi I got home I didn’t realize that they put in conventional oil and not synthetic after I checked my paperwork. I was told several things about the mistake and then found out I was lied to about the mixup. After talking to the parts department they told me it was Conventional oil that was originally put in. They redid my oil change for me after I waited an additional hour or so and then I never got a corrected paperwork with the correct part number stating what they did for my records and was told I was OK to leave. Besides that I have had my vehicle in at least five times for a check engine light and have invested close to $3000 and every time I’m in there for the check engine light I’m told it’s a different reason from electrical to pressure leak to on board computer etc. Every time they have serviced for the check engine light it has come back on either the next day or the day after their repair. My wife and I were looking for a Tahoe but most local dealerships had limited inventory. In less than 8 hours the staff at Spitzer Northfield had everything ready to go for us. All we had to do was show up and take a final test drive. The whole process was much easier than anticipated and they entire staff was very accommodating. Our sales person, Darrell Zauszniewski, had the paperwork ready to go, including the trade in. Financing with Jim was very simple and straightforward. The GM of the store, Mike Blackstock oversaw the whole process and made sure all the working parts were swiftly in motion. The sales and service here are second to none! More
John Berryhill was FANTASTIC! My check engine light came on and he got me in and repaired it same day while I waited. Our 2013 Equinox started stalling shorty before we were due to leave on a road trip to Virginia.
