Initially, the paperwork was written up to be se My parents decided to purchase a CPO GX 460 from Plaza. They worked with Chris Blumeyer and Eric Poe. Initially, the paperwork was written up to be several thousand more than the price advertised on Plaza's own website. They were hesitant to correct the price, but relented. This left my parents a little uneasy. They left to think about it and began looking at other vehicles. Ultimately, the decided to go for the Lexus anyway and returned to Plaza and began the purchase process. They arranged to return today after detailing was done to pick the car up and drop off the check for the car. Chris Blumeyer called my parents this morning to say that the car had been sold and was no longer available, They asked for a similar vehicle (one year newer with similar mileage) for the agreed upon price. Plaza refused. My dad has been driving the same Toyota for 20 years. He deserves something better and at the agreed price. So, I decided I would purchase the car instead. I called Plaza and spoke to Chris as well. Amazingly, he was "pretty sure" the car was available, despite having just told my parents it wasn't. I told him I didn't want to make the drive to Plaza for a "pretty sure." He took an hour to come back and tell me it has been sold. Really Chris??? It seems clear that this was a bait and switch. Why was the car written up for more than the sale price? Why would Chris initially tell me the car was available after telling my parents it wasn't? Why did it take so long for him to verify the availability of the vehicle? In my opinion, he knew when I spoke to him that the car was gone. Either my parents were lied to, I was lied to, or both. Neither is OK. I will make it my duty to make sure everyone knows how Plaza handles its customers, and I will make sure everyone I know does not purchase a vehicle from any Plaza dealer, or any other Asbury Automotive (Plaza's parent company in Georgia) owned dealer. There was a slight issue with the vehicle and Doug and his sales manager Jim Hercules 6th the problem very quickly and we were back on the road and very happy. Misleading Advertising and Subpar Customer Service I was looking for Lexus LS 460 and out of all the dealerships decided to go with this one-what a terrible mistake. I have talked to Chris Blumeyer in I was looking for Lexus LS 460 and out of all the dealerships decided to go with this one-what a terrible mistake. I have talked to Chris Blumeyer in sales. Once the deal was negotiated and arrangements made, I drove all the way from California to St. Louis, MO, to pick it up. Upon arrival, the floor mats were missing and I was reassured that they were gonna send me those shortly. In addition, we have agreed on oil change where they would reimburse me for one oil change done upon my arrival. Furthermore, upon leaving the parking lot and half way back to California I have noticed the vent panel had a small crack on it; so, I reached out to Chris to see if they will replace it since it was concealed in the initial advertising Carfax pictures where the top "cracked" part of vent was somehow "cut off." Also, the key was not programmed to remote engine start-again, I have been told someone would call me next day to set it up and program it which has not happened. The dealership is very fishy and employs misleading advertising practices as well as making assurances and promises that never materialize. Never trust these people less do business with them. As of 2/13/19: -Floor mats have not been received -Oil change has not been reimbursed -Replacement panel vent piece has not been received -Remote engine start has not been programmed -Total ignorance and customer service you would expect from a fishy car dealership like Plaza Lexus, what a shame! More
