Nightmare Used Car Purchase Experience DO NOT LEAVE PLAZA WITHOUT THE TITLE FOR YOUR USED CAR! I purchased the car on 4/6/19 and I still do not have the title. I have a loan payment due DO NOT LEAVE PLAZA WITHOUT THE TITLE FOR YOUR USED CAR! I purchased the car on 4/6/19 and I still do not have the title. I have a loan payment due on a car I do not own and expired temporary tags. I first texted Eric Poe (my salesman) at 10:30 AM on April 22nd to inquire on the title status. He initially said he would check and be back to me but he never replied. I texted again on April 23 at 3:29 PM and never received a reply. On April 24th at 10:25 AM, I emailed Derek Lancaster (Sales Manager) to check on the title status. He quickly replied at 10:39 AM letting me know he would check the status. On Friday, April 26th I received the reply below letting me know they were waiting on a loan. “Good morning. I wanted to touch base with you regarding the paperwork to the vehicle. We are just waiting for the bank to send us the title to your vehicle. The previous customer had a loan on the vehicle and the payoff amount was sent to them from us. Once we receive the title we will get the paperwork for you. Would you want us to mail it to you or do you want to pick it up at our dealership? Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day.” I emailed Derek again on May 1st to request an update and received the reply below. “I spoke with the accounting department a few minutes ago. The title hasn’t arrived and my title clerk is on standby waiting for it. It should be arriving anytime now. As soon as it is here I will touch base with you and let you know. I apologize for the delay.” On May 2nd, I emailed Derek again along with Bill Stringer (Finance Directory), Tom Ebenreck (General Manager) letting them know that the delay was unacceptable and I would be contacting a lawyer, the Missouri Department of Revenue, and the Attorney General. I received the response below and have not heard anything since as of 5/4/19. “Thank you for the email and again I apologize for the inconvenience it has caused you and your family. On April 26th, Scott Credit Union mailed our dealership the title which is coming from Arizona because that is where the credit union has their title department located. April 26th was a Friday and realistically it probably didn’t hit the post office until Monday. The title is due to arrive any day and you shared with me your temp tag expires on Sunday. It’s a very good chance the title will arrive tomorrow or Saturday and we will touch base with as soon as it arrives. Regarding the last part of the email, if you feel it’s necessary for you to contact the list of parties your more that welcome too. Again, I apologize for the delay and we will touch base with you as soon as the title is in our possession. Thank you for your time.” ________________________________________________________________________ I worked with a sales agent name Eric Poe after instant messaging an agent on the Plaza website to confirm the vehicle was still available. Eric was very responsive to text messages and made sure the car was available out front when we arrived. He was also very knowledgeable about the cars features. The negotiation with Eric went quickly and the finance process was also very good. The only delay in the whole process was the car detailing that was done before delivery. The car was very clean upon delivery and the overall process was excellent. More

Your family at Plaza Lexus exudes that and met all my expectations. Chris was well versed on his product and took a very kind, unabrasive sales approach....thorough but focused...congenial but not overbearing. He deserves all those awards he has received. Steve Massey’s congenial and professional manner were much appreciated, as was his assistance with closing my sale. I was so “at home” working with Fredrick Smith. He is a gem and true asset to your firm. What a gentleman! Lastly, Dishion gave me a complete overview of all the technical aspects of my new pride and joy. He was also very in tune with all the “bells and whistles” as he related all them to me. At The Ritz-Carlton, we had a motto which states...”We are Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen.” Take a bow, all of you. It could well be your motto too. More

It is a joy and an absolute pleasure to shop with Chris I met Chris 30 years ago. My young daughter and I went for the first time to buy a Lexus. The first thing I noticed about Chris was how attentive he was, even asking me if my little girl needed anything BEFORE we talked about the car. What a gentleman. He laughs easily and made me feel like I was the only customer in the world. He showed me so many cars including a black on black sedan that my daughter later told me “No Mom, I only see the white in your eyes “! Chris and I reminisce about this to this day and laugh I have never brought a vehicle unless Chris sold it to me. He is truly an asset to your organization. He is not only my only salesman, he is like family and a friend. He never changes. He got a smile for everyone 👌. I wish there were more people like Chris in the world, it would be a better place😇 .
