After 3 days and 110 dollars I picked up the jeep and knew nothing more about the problem then when I dropped it off. After threatening to file a dispute with my bank they claimed that they would hold my vehicle unless I paid with cash. Avoid this place at all costs More
My wife and I checked out and test drove a couple of minivans around town that we wanted to buy. We test drove and placed an offer at another dealership where we showed them an in-town price on an identical car with different colors hoping they would match it (we liked the colors), and they wouldn't meet the price to make a deal. Disgruntled I printed out a bunch of offers for some out of town dealers when I ran across Spirit's website. They had similar prices to the out of town dealers, so I thought I would give it a shot before I drove to Albuquerque or Fort Worth. They had a couple of minivan models that we were looking for (Grand Caravan and Town and Country) only with slightly higher mileage, so I showed them the prices I could get out of town. The inventory they had at the time had about 10k miles more than we wanted and their sister dealerships around west Texas were short on the brands we wanted as well. We expressed our concern about the vehicles on hand just out of warranty (miles) that they had. Without haggling prices, they simply matched the offer (actually just a touch lower because of miles) and threw in a 2 year warranty to make up for the extra miles! Unlike other dealerships they want to sell cars, and they value the customers that want to buy cars! We had no problems with hiking interest rates, no surprises at closing, no problem with trade-in value, no citing multiple different car value books, and no pressure. It was a quick, easy, friendly experience. We simply told them what we wanted, how much we wanted to pay, and they made everything work flawlessly. There are no magic deals, they smiled at me when I asked for a new car at a used car price, but hey you have to try! I had a reasonable request to match a competitor's price, and they more than met my expectations. It was actually a fun experience. I haven't yet worked with their service department, so I can't yet review that portion of the dealership, but when I do get work done I will amend or add to my review. Overall I am very happy with the salesman we worked with, and the general manager that was more than honest about the whole deal. Everything was transparent, no hidden fees, no hike in interest rates, no cost adjustments, and no hour long arguments haggling prices back and forth with an invisible man in a both. If you've had similar "less than ideal" experiences around town, give Spirit a try. I would recommend this dealership, and their friendly staff. They are a jewel on Avenue Q in Lubbock! I have purchased two vehicles one new and the second used. The used vehicle had some scratches and dents that needed to be repaired and I needed an extra set of keys. Kyle Porras sold us the vehicle used. The used vehicle had some scratches and dents that needed to be repaired and I needed an extra set of keys. Kyle Porras sold us the vehicle and indicated that he would take care of it. Three weeks later still not fixed and they informed us that they have someone that came to the dealership and fixed the vehicles after so many weeks. At the beginning when your purchasing the vehicle they indicate sure no problem we will fix everything for you. Three weeks went by and I contacted Ruben Madrigal and he informed me to take vehicle in. After a total of 9 weeks my car was finally fixed correctly. This was after 3 attempts to get the car properly fixed, and going back and forth and promises that this time it would get fixed correctly. I finally got the second set of keys after 4 weeks. When the car was picked up finally to get fixed( which required to get sanded and painted and not touched up like they were doing) they brought us a rental car and the fuel tank was on empty!!!! I will not purchase a vehicle from this dealership again. The reason why: if it takes 9 weeks to fix a scratch on the vehicle and they are a car dealership something is wrong. The service that we received on the used vehicle was poor! More

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a vehicle from Spirit. I worked with Marc Ortiz and he is a top notch guy and was very easy to work with.
