So I test-drove a 2013 Beetle with Carrie Andrade and my son. Carrie was really very nice, helpful, friendly, totally knew all about the car, let me air it out on Route 1. Very good with my 7 year old son too. Easy to ask questions to, and answered everything from the stick-vs-automatic, to the engine specifics, to why the windows re-seal themselves automatically. My wife and I have bought our last 2 cars at Speedcraft too ('99 Jetta purchased used from Speedcraft in 2002, and a '12 Jetta purchased from Speedcraft in late 2011), and the experience was also fantastic. Our next purchase will definitely be with Speedcraft too. Loved the new Beetle, but it was a little too small for my 10-year-old's liking... for me it was a great car and under different circumstances I might have bought it... the Beetle had great energy and quickness, very responsive and smooth, stick shift was easy and the new coupe look is a great re-design. Solid car too, doors have a good weight to them. Definitely would recommend the 2013, and I think Speedcraft still has some in stock. Setting up the test drive was easy. Richard Carr set it up based on my schedule. Test drove immediately with no waiting at all. No pressure to buy either. Carrie again was great to work with. We very much enjoyed dealing with Speedcraft and got a great deal. Our first contact was with Richard via the Internet. The test drive was very thorough and impressive. We spotted another Beetle that we also liked and were taken for another drive in that. There was no sales pressure - just good info. We left our trade-in car with Luke while we walked next door for a hamburger. When we got back, we had attractive quotes for both cars that we had liked. There was no reason to haggle - the trade-in allowance was very generous. We made our choice about 2pm, went home to remove the stuff from our car, went to the bank for a check, and drove away in our new Beetle about 5pm. James had been very helpful with the paperwork, and Howard had made our double-check appointment in 30 days. It couldn't have been easier or more pleasant! More
