Unless you were willing to do what the salesman agreed to on the phone I don't see much that we have to discuss. My wife said clearly that we would write a check for $9000 for the truck and Reggie told my wife that he would do the deal. She made sure since I wasn't going to drive all the way from Waxahachie unless he was going to agree to the deal. He did to her but then in reality was only trying to get us back into the dealership to attempt to get the price higher when we got there. We believe it was on purpose and that he knew he did wrong and passed us off to another salesman when we got there. After waiting for well over an hour he finally showed his face and denied ever telling my wife that he would do the deal which was just not true. I'm sure his job was on the line and that's why he lied or it is a normal practice of your dealership in order to squeeze as much as you can out of every deal. As I said in my statement I've been in a family owned retail business for 30+ years and if me or one of my sales people have ever given a price then we would honor that no matter what, even if we lost money which I know Southwest Kia would have not lost money but would have made a good profit on this truck. When all is said and done our honesty in our dealings with customers is all we have to build on. Our business is 77 years old for that very reason.
