I had spent most of the day communicating by email and phone with Vicki and Erica on a Soul Once we got through the bait and switch on pricing / rebates etc. I offered an out the door price of $13,100 via phone with Vicki and Erica on a Soul Once we got through the bait and switch on pricing / rebates etc. I offered an out the door price of $13,100 via email. Erica called me at home said she would ask management, called me back and told me she would accept a $13,322 out the door. My wife and I drove down and spent an hour in your dealership (7:30 – 8:30 pm) Kelsy was very helpful when we arrived, looked up our details on the computer said that Erica had left everything in place and went out to pull the Soul around. He stated that he would add window tint and handed the paperwork over to another gentleman (did not catch his name) We filled out all the paperwork, could have purchased it for cash but were asked to accept Kia financing as your dealership gets a rebate of some sort. As we were about to pay we were told that your dealership could not honor the $13,322 price and Erica had done something wrong and we needed to pay $400 more plus tax. We stated no thank you and left. No one from the dealership would return either emails or voicemails More
I have to admit I went to this dealership after seeing so many excellent reviews. Unfortunately I did not have an experience as pleasant as other people and was actually told to go somewhere else. I had qu many excellent reviews. Unfortunately I did not have an experience as pleasant as other people and was actually told to go somewhere else. I had qualified for a loan to cover a Kia Rio with minimal extra features and was only required to put $600 down due to my credit rating. The loan packet assured me that they have worked with Southwest Kia for 12 years and that I would not be hassled with a salesman trying to make more money off me. It instructed me to go online and set an appointment as well as look at their inventory so I would have the car I was interested in already picked out. I was under the impression I would simply go in, find my car, hand over the appropriate paperwork and drive away like every other satisfied customer. This couldn't have been more wrong. I was greeted by Mike upon walking in and offered a bottle of water. It was chilled and quite refreshing on a warm morning. As I began to talk about the type of vehicle I was interested in he went straight to getting my information. I asked if that was necessary since I was already approved with a loan through one of their partners but consented to fill out another sheet. We soon went outside to find the car I had been excited about and took it for a test drive. Everything was going smoothly and the ride was pleasant. Upon returning to the dealership Mike finally asked for the loan packet and left me to wait somewhere between 30-45 minutes. It only seemed to make things worse that he kept walking back and forth between the counter in front of where I was seated and some manager's office in the back. I understand the concept of patience but I would have appreciated a little heads up as far as what was taking so long if I was supposed to be already approved. The only time he acknowledged me was to bring me a coconut cream pie (I actually hate pies but he had no way of knowing that) which was a nice gesture so I became more pacified. That is until he started calling me by my nickname. I am 31 years old and haven't been called my nickname since the 5th grade so I began to feel belittled as though he were dealing with a kid. After the needless wait, he sat down and asked if I had anymore money to put down. He explained that with the additional features on the vehicle I test drove I would need around $2,750. I stuck to my guns and told him this loan was supposed to cover the entire cost and I was only required to put down $600. I told him I had no attachment to that test vehicle and wanted the one that matched my price range in order to be covered by the loan. He then proceeded to tell me how there was some sort of problem with my loan and that the dealership was being charged $3000 to accept my loan and that they would ultimately have to pass that charge onto me. I politely stated that I didn't understand why that is but I would not be interested in hearing anymore without calling my lender. Walking back to the car in which I arrived, I took out my cell phone and called the lender to explain my concern over this mysterious $3000 fee. The young woman informed me that the dealership is required to pay an acquisition fee and that it is actually illegal for him to try and get the customer to pay. She told me that none of what he said was true and that he was not even supposed to be treating me this way once he knew I had already worked with their partner company in getting the loan. She explained the process to me once again about how he was simply to take my loan packet, allow me to choose my car and then handle the paperwork per their directions after having already worked with them for 12 years. I thanked her for the clarification and decided to call Mike back at the dealership. I simply stated that what he said was misinformation and that he wasn't supposed to be telling customers about any kind of fee since it could be in fact illegal. He handled himself like a seasoned politician and worked up an answer that used a lot of words but didn't say much to address the obvious issue. He then ended the call with telling me to try another dealership that handles "those sorts of loans." I will never recommend this dealership to any of my friends or family even though I'm sure they're not hurting for my business. More

The wait was always ridiculously long (at least an hour) but I do have to say I never made an appointment. My real issue is today I took my car to mobil 1 not wanting to pay dealership fees and they pulled out my oil filter to find that my oil was completely black! (I watched this myself). I explained to them that I always changedy oil as I was suppose to at the dealership. They told me the oil had not been changed but only refilled. So beware of the "free oilchanges". I will no longer use there services on my Kia. More
Kevin Cole was amazing after having a horrible experience at another car dealership. I would buy a car from him again and would recommend him to all of my friends and family. at another car dealership. I would buy a car from him again and would recommend him to all of my friends and family. More
I was referred by my pastor and spoke with Noe and although he had relocated to another department he still took the time to speak with me and later referred me to Jerry Tonnubbe whom assisted me. Up although he had relocated to another department he still took the time to speak with me and later referred me to Jerry Tonnubbe whom assisted me. Upon my arrival I was greeted with an open door an a smile. The staff there are godly, honest, kind and compassionate. I especially thank Kelsey Allen for being so up front and honest which is something you do not expect when it is your money and time. To be honest every staff member whom I had encounter with (even in passing) were all very, very friendly and the pies are too die for. I thank God for the 2013 Kia Soul that I was blessed with when I left from that dealership in Mesquite, Texas. I have already handed out several business cards to my friends. Overall that was one of the best experiences I have ever had when buying a car and I did not feel pressured at all. Praise God. Marilyn. More

Wow, what an excellent experience. I negotiated the purchase by phone with Kelsey. He was an excellent communicator. I must say you have another excellent employee, his name is Kevin. This gentle wil purchase by phone with Kelsey. He was an excellent communicator. I must say you have another excellent employee, his name is Kevin. This gentle will give up his shirt if the need was required. I have never dealt with an individual like him, he has an excellent personality and demonstrates a lot of pride in his job. Usually, after you purchase a vehicle you are forgotten, but I must say not with your company. Kevin has gone above and beyond. I called Kevin because I was having some difficulty in programming the garage door opener. He attempted to assist me and what he couldn't help me with he literally walked to the service department to have them talk me though it. He didn't give up on me. He is definitely a great asset to your company. More
Our 2010 Kia Forte broke down as my wife was returning from Galveston vacation. The car had to be towed from Madisonville, TX which is several hundred miles from Dallas. This also happened on a Sunday, O from Galveston vacation. The car had to be towed from Madisonville, TX which is several hundred miles from Dallas. This also happened on a Sunday, October 7th so we had it towed to Mesquite. I went on line since Kia Southwest is advertised on TV a lot. As well to see what on line the reviews stated. We live in Coppell and the closer dealer is in Lewisville/Carrollton. Because Mesquite Kia had good reviews and TV ads decided to have it towed there and I would drive there to pick up my wife, her friend. First, we found the Sunday the dealership was closed, but security came and allowed us to tow the car into the gates for safe keeping. The Monday morning I spoke with Gary and he worked quickly to have the problem identified. The transmission went out and had to be replaced. Gary called me several times to keep me apprised of what work and what was needed. He informed me it would need to be replaced and the earliest it could be ready is Monday October 15th. On Monday morning Gary called and said the car was ready for pick up. I appreciate Southwest Kia and Gary for working to get our Kia Forte repaired and detailed, and up to date service. He was very friendly, respectful, and I appreciate the efforts to see it done as quickly as possible. Clint Thomas More
