Service Center Review: Southwest Kia Mesquite's service dept was booked so they scheduled an appointment for August 19, 2024 at Southwest Kia Dallas. Our 2024 Kia Seltos SUV (12,000 miles, less than a yea dept was booked so they scheduled an appointment for August 19, 2024 at Southwest Kia Dallas. Our 2024 Kia Seltos SUV (12,000 miles, less than a year old), carrying 3 adults and 1 child would dip and bottom out while running over bumps on the interstate at speed liimit, as though the suspension failed. We've never ridden anyone or carried any heavy weight in the backseats prior to this so didn't know the SUV would perform this poorly. Service Tech said that the maximum weight capacity is 750 lbs (which is unbelievable) and that they could not replace the shocks with heavy duty ones due to warranty. This means that we can't transport over two people in my family without having a really hard/rough ride. Someone almost hit us and when the car swerved, it tilted because the traction was not good (due to the shocks/suspension in my opinion). The Seltos is still in the shop as they try to resolve the issues above. Meanwhile, we are without any transportation, no bus routes and no loaner car while the work is being done. I've had to change my work schedule to work from home because I can't get to work without paying over $75 r/t for an Uber, let alone going to doctor appointments and running small errands. I used to love my Seltos and even recommended it to family and friends, but now am considering trading-in this 2024 Kia Seltos! THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND FRUSTRATING! More
