Let me first say I welcome this dealership to rebut anything I say here. I visited this dealership, test drove a vehicle, worked through an agreeable offer that they put on paper and I signed with Tab anything I say here. I visited this dealership, test drove a vehicle, worked through an agreeable offer that they put on paper and I signed with Tabias their “manager”. He did their store celebration chant and told me they are not only my dealership today but for life. All sounds reasonable. I had secured my own financing through BOA but after an hour of waiting they told me their computer can’t pull BOA. I know Bank of America is an unknown bank(sarcasm) So I agreed for them to run credit and see what they can do for financing. Another 45 minutes goes by and they come back with a better rate than I already had so all seems good. It wasn’t much, but something. Then another 30 minutes for them to get “paperwork” done and if you’re keeping track I am now about 3 hours into my experience. Finally the finance lady comes and get’s me to go over the paperwork in which she tries to slide a run down of cost that is $900 more than that original signed and celebrated agreed upon price. I told the lady this was not was agreed upon and she says she has to talk to the manager. 10 minutes later she comes back and says they can’t agree with that price and the original “manager” is no longer available. Not surprised since I had been there for pretty much the entire work day. So long story short, BUYER BEWARE. This dealership does not care about their customers, their word means nothing, and they will put their interest in front of you. I have purchased many vehicles in my life and I have never experienced something so disrespectful of my time or ethically unprofessional. More
I should have kept looking. Such a rip off!! Their integrity is lacking. I spoke with Tim, Weldon, Webster and a few others I even went to Corporate. That was fruitless. I was Such a rip off!! He talks to a person in the worst way and manner for being one day late and repossess your car. He will not allow you to pay or redeem your vehicle. I will never go there again or recommend anyone to ever get a used car from Dave. He have absolutely no car salesman’s experience. He even calls a person a liar. Roger from your customer service department must be a relative of the owner. No way does anyone with such a horrible customer service attitude maintain a job. Car was scheduled for a battery check, broug relative of the owner. No way does anyone with such a horrible customer service attitude maintain a job. Car was scheduled for a battery check, brought it in as scheduled from the app and was told the service will require the car to stay overnight and that the appointment needed to be rescheduled. WOW ok maybe someone slipped and didn't catch the details of the service request. Fine, mistakes happen. Brought it in and drop it off the night before so as not to take away from my workday. No calls all morning or afternoon with an update. Get through on the phone at 4pm and was told just because I have the car there overnight does not mean it's been looked at and that I was welcome to come in and wait in line so they can look at it then. WHAT?! So how is it possible the battery gets drained and charged while I am there taking away from my work day to wait for this battery check? What's the purpose of leaving it all day if it's not going to be looked at. I highly suggest the sales people there give a seminar to the service department on how to help and deal with customers in an orderly and respectful fashion. Wish I got the woman's name when I first called about this issue. She was just as snippy and unwilling to be helpful. I was about to recommend this dealership to two friends who will be in the market this fall but I think a research of local dealership service department reviews is in order. I felt so good when buying this 2023 but now that feel good moment is long gone. Your department can take this as a learning lesson and grow their skillset or they should look elsewhere. Seriously, I get better customer service at the local Wendy's. NO DEAL IS WORTH THIS MESS More

My name is Mary Fisher, I wrote a review on google in regards to an issue I had with service that I received. I was told from a person who responded to that review to go over to Southtownereviews@google. regards to an issue I had with service that I received. I was told from a person who responded to that review to go over to Southtownereviews@google.com. As soon as possible. For what I’m not sure! My review read as follows: At first I was impressed with Southtowne Hyundai. The first time I went there I spent over $1600, for a number of things done to my car, which was more then I expected. During that visit I had 2 rears tires replaced. About a week or 2 after driving my car. The TPMS light came on. I did a google search to find out what that was, and checked the manual, also saw something that said it might reset it self after being driven 50 miles. Needless to say it did not. When I went back to the service department I needed an appointment. So I was given one. I came back, and after examination I was told that my rear left sensor needed to be replaced. When the light came on I felt it had something to do with my prior visit. Once I was told what the problem was, my thought was confirmed. Whoever in the service department that put those tires on damaged my sensor and did not say anything. Do I think it was done on purpose. No I don’t accident’s happen to the best of us. I have taken very good care of my car. I know who has come in contact with it. I have had tires put on before all the way around, no problems at all. What bothers me most is that someone chose to stand in the background and let it fall in my lap, as though the sensor just failed. Instead of informing, and fixing it. Even if it meant I had to come back after they got the part. Instead it is seen as another opportunity to make money. What people must understand is integrity goes a long way. If you have a business that consumers don’t trust. It will impact your business. I’m a retired individual on a fixed income. I live an hour away. If I’m going to be disadvantaged. I might as well stay local and find a street mechanic. I am very disillusioned with Southtowne Hyundai. I’m not even sure I would buy another Hyundai after this. If you can’t trust the dealership..that’s sad! This is very unfortunate because one of the questions is would you recommend this service center…before this happened I would have. I had reservations about driving that far at first…but the it wasn’t so bad, a little pricey being retired! More

We were told we needed a new catalytic converter and it would be over 3k to fix. We told them we had the full warranty and they continued to tell us that we didn’t have one since we weren’t the original owners. Another Hyundai who helped us before told us we did have the full warranty and it was in their system. They refused to check. We didn’t even bother to request a goodwill warranty at this location (and they never offered) because we didn’t trust the service here based on our experience thus far (we also had to physically come here to make an appointment because we could never reach anyone via phone -bad sign- and the online system kept messing up) . It took 5 days for them to inform us of the issue. Picked up the car and took it an hour away to our preferred Hyundai service center. They did a quick diagnostic and said the code was showing ignition misfiring which was related to coils. They said it was weird that there wasn’t even a code written on our diagnostic paper from Southtowne. They also said if it was the converter typically a specific code pops up that wasn’t popping up. They wanted to drive it and examine it themselves. They said they were super busy and needed it for a couple of days but ended up diagnosing it the same day. They said it was not the converter but that it was the ignition coil three misfiring and to fix it would be 1k. What a difference. We could have lost 2k to have a problem fixed that wasn’t even a problem. At Southtowne, it says “under new management” but unfortunately it seems to be still under poor management. They didn’t even offer to waive the $171 diagnostic fee. We will never return to that location. The only reason we went there was for convenience. Unfortunately we’ll have to drive an hour away for proper service. Receiving a refund of $171 would be appropriate as we were almost scammed of 2k. More
