I normally get great service but this time it was just okay. I had warranty work/no charge done but when I went to pick up my truck the service guy just handed me the paper and sent me to the cashier with okay. I had warranty work/no charge done but when I went to pick up my truck the service guy just handed me the paper and sent me to the cashier with no explanation of the work done. She tried to charge me $19 and when I asked what it was for she said she did not know and just sent me back to the service guy. He was rude and snapped at me saying it was for 5 gallons of gas. I stated I did not ask for gas to be put in my truck especially at $3.75 a gallon when I normally pay $1.75 a gallon. He just snapped at me again and said I could take it up with the manager. Clearly this guy hates his job and should not be dealing with the public, shame on whoever hired him and failed to train/supervise him. The manager came over and stated that they did put gas in my truck after replacing the defective fuel tank and it was about 9 gallons/$2 a gallon, which made more sense to me. When I got out to my truck it had dirt/mud on the inside of the drivers door, on the door jamb, and on the carpeted floor mat. I keep my truck clean inside and out and I do not appreciate careless/sloppy Southland Dodge employees returning it to me filthy. I certainly hope the repair they did was handled better than my experience picking up my truck. More

Unnecessary Charge When I brought my Dodge Grand Caravan in, I told them exactly what part needed to be changed, I knew it had to be changed because I had to sever the When I brought my Dodge Grand Caravan in, I told them exactly what part needed to be changed, I knew it had to be changed because I had to sever the wiring harness for the automatic siding door in order to close that door.. They took the vehicle to the back for about an hour, then brought the vehicle back up front They told me that they did not have the harness in stock and had to order it, But the charge was over $800. I could not afford that kind of repair at this time. The service department charged me about $135 for a Diagnostic Evaluation. According to the evaluation they told me that they had to order the exact part that I told them I wanted changed. The Diagnostic evaluation and the wasted hour of my time was not necessary. All that was necessary was to order the part that I asked for and install it. I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT NEEDED TO BE CHANGED OUT, AS I PERSONALLY HAD TO DAMAGE IT IN ORDER TO GET THE DOOR TO CLOSE. There was NO evaluation necessary. I realize that I have 90 days to return and do the repair, and the Diagnostic Evaluation charge would be applied to my final bill. However, you took advantage of me. I would have had more time to put the money for the repair aside before I lost it after 90 days. Had I felt that the estimate for repair was excessive, I could have just ordered the part myself and done the work at home. This Dodge Caravan is my sixth in the past twenty or more years. Three of them have been BraunAbility convered vans. The nest van I buy, I will take a harder look at the Honda and other van that was offered to me when I bought this Grand Caravan . More
