Southland Dodge was opened in July 1968 by Joe Teuton Jr., Jeff Teuton, and Dennis Oncale. Joe and Dennis were experienced auto technicians at Downtown Auto Service on Lafayette St, and Jeff was a college graduate in Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. They were also avid drag racers, and they were all under 30 years of age. The first location at 505 Sunset Ave featured a one-car showroom and a 10 car parking lot. Their racing background helped them to sell lots of Dodge Superbees, Chargers, and Challengers in the early years.

I have recalls that my dash sensors indicate or in need of attention. I have been told they won't fix the problem until it completely breaks. I'm told the parts are not available... Some of the recalls are of attention. I have been told they won't fix the problem until it completely breaks. I'm told the parts are not available... Some of the recalls are more than 5 years ago. I'm told parts are not available. This is not acceptable!!!! As a result I drive a non mechanicical unreliable truck that I can expect to leave me on the side of the road. I drive this truck for business and seldom locally. I need my truck fixed!!! More

Great service. I called because my seat warmer quit working and I had a screw in my tire.
