Southland Dodge was opened in July 1968 by Joe Teuton Jr., Jeff Teuton, and Dennis Oncale. Joe and Dennis were experienced auto technicians at Downtown Auto Service on Lafayette St, and Jeff was a college graduate in Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. They were also avid drag racers, and they were all under 30 years of age. The first location at 505 Sunset Ave featured a one-car showroom and a 10 car parking lot. Their racing background helped them to sell lots of Dodge Superbees, Chargers, and Challengers in the early years.

Car goes in because of an accident to the front left side . A guy that was intoxicated side swiped my wife while driving the renegade . Problem dodge does as I (wife) doesn't hand them the list . second they want me to request checks and then have an attitude me making request. Third my car was do for it's first old change wasn't done . Worker said I have to request it cause Chrysler sends emails now dodge and service department doesn't handle it are doesn't know till asked are told to do so. Would not recommend dodge to even my worst enemies More
