Southland Dodge was opened in July 1968 by Joe Teuton Jr., Jeff Teuton, and Dennis Oncale. Joe and Dennis were experienced auto technicians at Downtown Auto Service on Lafayette St, and Jeff was a college graduate in Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. They were also avid drag racers, and they were all under 30 years of age. The first location at 505 Sunset Ave featured a one-car showroom and a 10 car parking lot. Their racing background helped them to sell lots of Dodge Superbees, Chargers, and Challengers in the early years.

I had an excellent experience with the repair department. Everyone was very courteous and helpful. Having no other vehicle, I was transported home and was picked up the next day when the vehicle was ready. Everyone was very courteous and helpful. Buying a car from Southland Dodge Ram was a great experience when we got our Jeep back in 2020; for not saying Perfect! But, when Service is involved then the whole process and department is really b experience when we got our Jeep back in 2020; for not saying Perfect! But, when Service is involved then the whole process and department is really bad and poor; not what do you expect when you bring your vehicle for service; they have no clue what to do when you tell them I'm bringing my car for X, Y or Z service. It is always something and the main reason why i brought my car to the same Dealer where i bought is to keep a record and track on it; assuming will make things easier if something happen and extended warranty has to be approved. Definitely i will recommend you to buy your car there; but nor service your card there. I did offer my time to receive a call based on my previous service survey and they never called; same as latest one. More
