"Wrong". So I contacted VW of America and was very apologetic and recommended me to go to another dealership close to me instead to have it fix. Don't buy your next car here. If you do expect to be treated like the others who have been having issues with them. If you are in the military, I suggest find another dealership besides this one. More
2 hours for simple oil change WITH an appointment!!!! Made a 9:30am appt for nothing more than an oil change. Showed up at 9:25 but didn't get "checked in" until nearly 10:00am. Half hour of my time alrea Made a 9:30am appt for nothing more than an oil change. Showed up at 9:25 but didn't get "checked in" until nearly 10:00am. Half hour of my time already wasted. Didn't get my vehicle back until nearly 11:30. 2 hours of my day wasted to perform a ten minute job. If I had just showed up without an appointment I would have been ok with the time but the fact I made an appt and still waited 2 hours was ludicrous. I have experienced this kind of time insanity for the past 5 years of having my vehicle serviced there. In fact, once I dropped off for oil change and state inspection in the am. They had to keep my vehicle overnight because they didn't get to it. I repeat, they kept my vehicle overnight for an oil change and inspection. If you value your time don't bother taking it to southern greenbrier vw. Their poor service efficiency and not valuing their customers time forced me to make my next vw purchase at an another dealership further away. That's how negatively the service experience has been for me. More
While the faces of the service department (Rich, Miranda, etc.) are polite and personable, the leadership is poor and in our experience simply rude. We had a scenario some time ago with their (so-called) " s etc.) are polite and personable, the leadership is poor and in our experience simply rude. We had a scenario some time ago with their (so-called) " service director" who refused to honour a VW issued voucher. He was quickly overruled by VW customer service though it never should have gotten to that point. Our time is valuable and the 20 minutes spent "working" to resolve this can never be recovered. This isn't the only negative situation experienced here. The free oil changes that accompanied our vehicle purchase are simply not worth the hassle; we now take our Beetle to another VW facility and pay for our oil changes even though they would be free here, which should tell you something about how poor their service actually is. Wish I knew about this site in 2011 when we bought our VW Routan.... The buying experience back then was mediocre, but our experience with this dealership since then has been horrendous! Every problem I've ever reported has been left broken, and I am told they "can't find anything wrong." Most recently, I brought my car in for an oil change and inspection and got a call later that day that someone had HIT my car and they would need to replace the bumper!!! 2 weeks of aggravation later, I finally got my car back... but that was after being lied to over and over again, and this place first patching the bumper instead of replacing it, then replacing it and painting it a mis-matching shade of red! I had never heard of such tom foolery from a dealership until this experience. I even reported them to VW of America, which still yielded no response from these thieves. Unreal. If you're considering this dealership for a VW, do yourself a favor and head over to Checkered Flag instead. Wish we'd known 2 years ago that that place is the better pick!!! More
Purchased a new Jetta three weeks ago from Southern Volkswagon. One of the big selling points was the Southern Hospitality Buyers Program. One of the really attractive features included roadside assistance. On Thursday, my discovered a flat tire on her Jetta. She called VW to request roadside assistance. When the representative arrived he discovered that the Tow Hook which is required to tow the vehicle was missing. The Jetta can not be towed without the tow hook. When I arrived home from work, I decided to simply change the tire and drive it to the vehicle. This is when we discovered that the Lug Key was also missing. Without the Lug Key, the flat tire could not be removed. Ultimately, the dealership sent a different type of tow truck that lifted the whole car up and took it to be serviced. My wife asked the dealership to go ahead and perform a scheduled maintenance. The dealership had the car for 8 hours before calling to let us know it was ready. When we went to pick it up, we were informed that the requested maintenance had not been performed. It took 8 hours to remove a nail from a tire. We have discovered other items missing from the vehicle since our purchase. We are very happy with the Jetta but are going to research our service options and will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership. More
Had 2 rims and 2 tires replaced via insurance. Also paid to have the other 2 tires replaced at the same time.Car was in for 6 days.Rims were scratched when picked up and the colision center blamed the servi to have the other 2 tires replaced at the same time.Car was in for 6 days.Rims were scratched when picked up and the colision center blamed the service dept at the dealership. They said they knew nothing about it.When I finally picked up the car the steering wheel was crooked to the right.Returned the car, paid for an alignment, and then the steering wheel was crooked to the left.Brought it back...crooked to the right again. No returns to my phone calls from the service advisor or manager after a week now to remedy this.I have purchased 6 cars over 15 years from this dealership and thought I would be treated better than this. The end.
