Unnecessary service While the sales pitch wasn't 'heavy pressure', they "encouraged" me to sign up for the fuel system cleaning, something they described as normal and ro While the sales pitch wasn't 'heavy pressure', they "encouraged" me to sign up for the fuel system cleaning, something they described as normal and routine. This is not part of the VW service recommendation, but they alluded that it was pretty important. It was most likely a great way for them to make money. Southern did not include the Warranty and Maintenance booklet with the car when we purchased it from them, so I had to look up the VW service schedule. The factory 20k miles service includes: oil and filter change, cabin pollen filter change, and inspecting airbags, brake system, battery, rear windows, and possibly a tire rotation. They decided I didn't need the tire rotation, but charged $80 for the "Wynn's 3 part complete fuel system cleaning" and $39.99 for the Injector Flush kit. I'll be much MUCH more diligent in only getting the factory recommended service next time. More
