My biggest issue with Southern Volkswagen is that the customer service is hit or miss. Some customer service representatives are incredibly helpful and willing to answer questions and other others seem l customer service is hit or miss. I realize that according to most folks service done on, Volkswagens tend to be a little more expensive, but whenever I have had to have work done, that is additional to my regular annual check ups it seems to be incredibly expensive compared to services that I would pay for other makes of cars. Over $600 to replace back brake pads and rotors seems incredibly expensive but they kinda have you over a barrel when they tell you it is needed, but you feel the cost is inflated. More

Called and left voicemails with previous service provider, but never received a call back. Called general service number Friday afternoon. Was told bring it that day to get in line for the next, because might not get done if I brought it in Saturday morning. When I arrived the same person checked me in and marked down oil change and state inspection. He never said an appointment was needed. We were notified Saturday afternoon that we needed an appointment for an inspection and the oil change was almost complete. No care for my wasted time. Now I have to coordinate another time to come sit at a dealership to get the state inspection. More

During Thanksgiving break, my 2019 Volkswagen Atlas had a water pump failure, leaving me in an emergency situation. I initially contacted several local repair centers, including the Virginia Beach VW deale a water pump failure, leaving me in an emergency situation. I initially contacted several local repair centers, including the Virginia Beach VW dealership, which scheduled my service for December 11 despite my car being undriveable. Repeated follow-ups with the Virginia Beach VW center yielded the same response: "You can come by on December 11." Fortunately, Southern Volkswagen allowed me to drop off my car on the morning of November 30. They immediately began working on it, even though they couldn’t guarantee same-day completion. While I waited at a nearby fast-food restaurant, I received a call from Southern Volkswagen letting me know my car would be ready by 5:00 p.m., well before their 6:00 p.m. closing time. Not only did they fix my car on the same day, but their exceptional customer service also stood out. I will definitely choose Southern Volkswagen over the Virginia Beach VW dealership in the future. More
