I recently had the pleasure of working with Vince Brown at GMC Southern Pines while purchasing my new Yukon, and I can confidently say that this was the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had! From the very start, Vince made the entire process smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable. Vince is exceptionally knowledgeable about the vehicles he sells, and he took the time to understand my needs and preferences. He went above and beyond to answer all my questions, providing clear and honest information without any pressure. It’s rare to find a salesperson who genuinely listens and focuses on what’s best for the customer, but Vince exemplifies this quality perfectly. His professionalism and attention to detail were evident in every step of the process, from the initial consultation to the final paperwork. Vince was always available, responsive, and patient, ensuring I was completely satisfied with every aspect of my purchase. He even made sure to go over all the features of the Yukon, giving me a full walkthrough so I could drive away feeling confident and excited. If you’re looking for a top-notch sales experience and a salesperson who truly cares about his clients, I highly recommend Vince Brown. This is our second car purchase, and we thought Ted Natt was giving us a good deal on a used 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, priced below market value. Initially, the process was fast—too fast. I didn’t have time to was giving us a good deal on a used 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, priced below market value. Initially, the process was fast—too fast. I didn’t have time to verify if the $1,700 in “out the door” accessories they added was legitimate. It turns out they applied our down payment toward the final price, so instead of paying $12,800, I ended up paying $14,200. While I’ve made peace with how the deal went down, what I can’t accept is the quality of the car. After just 2-3 weeks, the car became inoperable due to a lower radiator hose leak. Without a warranty (because we assumed the car wouldn’t have issues this soon), we had to use what little savings we had to fix it. We paid $322 for the hose replacement, only to discover it wasn’t the full problem. The water pump needed replacing, costing another $165. Then, the newly installed hose had a hole again, so we paid $145 to replace it. We couldn’t afford to take it back to the dealership, as their charges would’ve been close to $1,000. This car has drained our finances, to the point that a job was lost due to unreliable transportation. This has been the worst car-buying experience I’ve ever had. We walked into the dealership excited, and within weeks, we just wanted to return the car. Unfortunately, we’re stuck with it. For anyone considering buying from this dealership: • Do not disclose your financing plans upfront. • Do not mention your down payment until you’ve negotiated an out-the-door price. • If you’re buying used, either have the car inspected by a mechanic or invest in a warranty. Be cautious with dealerships like this one that seem more interested in making a sale than ensuring their customers drive off in reliable vehicles. More
I trusted my Southern Pines u with my last 3 vehicles. They broke one of my custom rims and would not replace it after the mechanic said he had trouble getting my new tire on, on that specific rim. The s They broke one of my custom rims and would not replace it after the mechanic said he had trouble getting my new tire on, on that specific rim. The service manager blamed it on me. I took another one of our cars there for maintenance and they quoted me over $4k. Decided to take the car elsewhere bc I felt I was being lied to…parts and labors only cost $493. SPC tried to charge me over $700 for one part that was brand new and did not need to be changed. I trusted the dealership, have done business with for several years m, and bought multiple cars from them. Like most dealerships they have a business to run and you’re just a number. You’d think though, knowing some of the people that works in service, I wouldn’t be lied to.Thankfully we didn’t give them a dime and took the vehicle elsewhere. More
All they do is lie, misrepresented condition of supposed minor damage described as ding or scratch that is 2 feet long and 3 inches wide.Only disclosed at signing while they were inspecting car, not me! This dealership runs their business like it's 1985. Payment packing (which is illegal) plus over $1300 of dealer add-ons and if you say you don't want them they will refuse to sell you the vehicle. The Payment packing (which is illegal) plus over $1300 of dealer add-ons and if you say you don't want them they will refuse to sell you the vehicle. They'll show you their worksheet and tell you it's a bank approval, like you're an idiot and don't know what a bank approval looks like. They'll charge you a higher price than what's advertised and when you catch them at this they say "oh sorry, the price dropped overnight and I didn't know". Mind you, this statement is coming from the used car manager. He doesn't know his own inventory?? Overcharging on registration fees plus a $798 dealer fee?? What a crock of horse manure. Wish I would've read all the reviews before wasting energy engaging with this dealer. If you're smart you'll go somewhere more ethical. More
