Thanks to Eric King my experience turned out to be great. First visit was a little shaky but on my second visit Mr. King made sure I spoke with the right persons to make my final division on buying my car. First visit was a little shaky but on my second visit Mr. King made sure I spoke with the right persons to make my final division on buying my car. Had it not been for Mr. King and all of his help I would not have purchased my new vehicle. He is a great salesman and was a great help to me. I appreciate all of his help and I love my new car. More
Was given a price by my salesman, Deon, who I might note is the ONLY good person I dealt with at this dealership. They let me take the car for 24 hrs and I decided it's the car I want. I brought it back a is the ONLY good person I dealt with at this dealership. They let me take the car for 24 hrs and I decided it's the car I want. I brought it back and set down w/Deon to purchase it. He brought in the paperwork and the price they had quoted me the day before (approved by the GM, John Foley) on an new 2.5 SL Altima fully loaded was now different than their original quote, it was $2,866 more. What? I asked Deon & he said, "I'm sorry, you're right, this is not the correct price we quoted you, let me go get this paperwork changed". Next thing you know, John Foley, the General Manager, shows up in Deon's office and says and I quote "Sorry, there was a miscommunication, if you still want the car you have to pay the new price we just gave you". Miscommunication? How can you have a miscommunication when you yourself, the GM approved the price you gave me yesterday? Talk about being lied to, well John Foley lied to me. I told him that's not the price he quoted me the day before and Deon even confirmed that with him, but he would not honor his original price to me. I immediately left because who would ever want to do business with people you can't trust? My sales person Deon was more than nice and I felt horrible for him, but their GM, John Foley is by far the worst GM I've ever dealt with. We buy 2 new cars every 2 to 3 years and we have NEVER experienced the crap that we experienced @ Hall Nissan Western Branch. Note, there's another review on here that calls John Foley a liar, perhaps a pattern forming? The most ridiculous part about that day, was when I got home and called Hall Nissan Virginia Beach and spoke w/Manager, Mike Dalton, and over the phone he gives me a lower price than the last price John Foley gave me. It was lower by over $1000 on the exact same Altima and I haven't even stepped foot in their dealership. I was treated so badly and I was so upset over the whole deal, I called their corporate office and reported what happened to Steve Hug. It's my understanding all of the Hall dealerships were owned by a family but they sold out and now it's owned by a huge corporation and they no longer have the customer service, respect or honesty that you get w/a family owned dealership. That was obvious to me! My story ends on a very positive note because I went to CHARLES BARKER NISSAN and was treated professionally and not lied to. They truly wanted and earned my business. My beautiful new 2.5 SL Altima, loaded with every option available, is sitting in my driveway this morning at a lower price than Hall offered it to me the first time. Bad story turned good because of Charles Barker Nissan! You know the saying "BUYER BEWARE", well I'll add to that "BUYER BEWARE OF HALL NISSAN WESTERN BRANCH"! More
MAKE SURE YOU BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE!! John Foley is a liar and doesn't help as much as he say he will... I asked him several times what my interest rate was and he tried to keep it from me. He is the "general and doesn't help as much as he say he will... I asked him several times what my interest rate was and he tried to keep it from me. He is the "general manager" and he horrible!!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here!! I rather drive a lemon! More
My wife and I were looking for a new maxima so we decided to visit Hall Nissan Western branch after finding the car we wanted on there web site.. (At a great price). We had purchased our current vehicle from to visit Hall Nissan Western branch after finding the car we wanted on there web site.. (At a great price). We had purchased our current vehicle from a Hall location so there were incentives to trading with a Hall dealer. When we arrived at the dealership we were greeted by Wayne Redway a happy go lucky kinda guy who was a relief to talk to. Right off my wife and I knew that this was not your typical sales guy, this was more like running into a family member or a friend that you haven’t seen in awhile. He immediately found what we had looked at online and was very knowledgeable about all the models Nissan has to offer which was helpful to us by confirming that the Maxima was truly the car to fit our needs. Then it was down to business which flowed smoothly because there was NOT any beating around the bush. Tell u one thing do another, things that make you question buying at all. During what i like to call “the sit down” Wayne introduced us to Mike Morton the sales manager who would do and appraisal on our current vehicle and to work out the details in getting us where we needed to be in the pricing. The kind of guy Mike is makes him hard not to like, his love of cars, motorcycles and pretty much anything that moves was right up my alley. He had extensive knowledge of current market pricing on new and used vehicles and also had a no nonsense straight to the point personality. These guys were always positive and this dealership was a very comfortable and friendly place to be, to buy from, even just to stop in and look around. Ok so my wife and I were sold on the car, the people and the dealership so we decided to buy, our next stop was in the office of Ray "make a way" Sims Finance Manager Super nice guy who was not pushy and really made this part of the buying process really enjoyable. By taking extra time he was able to finance with a bank we wanted and at a great rate and ended up lowering our payment! My wife and I were very happy. Sierra Dillard was also very helpful in car delivery, she helped us with linking up our cell phone with the car and getting the accessories we wanted for the car. Everyone is so nice there. I said to Wayne and my wife many times how I wonderful it was to talk to so many great people and asked how in the world they got all of these great people in one dealership...It was truly a great time, a great buy, at a great dealership. I would recommend Hall Nissan Western Branch to anyone more importantly I would recommend the people there. My wife and I have made friends for life I feel like and I most definitely plan to buy my next vehicle there. More

I had a great experience buying my new Xterra. As you probably know, buying a new car can be a stressful experience. All of the staff were very friendly, there were no hard core, high pressure sales tac probably know, buying a new car can be a stressful experience. I am not a fan. I perused the Hall website for several days before coming across a few vehicles at different sites. I came across a 2005 Infiniti G35 for 14000 that I wanted to test drive. I went to the H days before coming across a few vehicles at different sites. I came across a 2005 Infiniti G35 for 14000 that I wanted to test drive. I went to the Hall Nissan on Western Branch. If you are familiar with the area then you know Hall Chevrolet and I think Hall Hyundai are also on Western Branch across the street. I let the young man know that I was unsure if the Infiniti was at that dealership or at one of the ones across the street. He told me that he would take a look, but ended up asking a LOT of questions about me and what I was looking for prior to. Then he asked for my keys to appraise my car since I was trading it in. This was all BEFORE I ever saw the Infiniti. It all made me a little uneasy, but I was interested in the appraised value of my car so I allowed him to get that done. Once he spent a good half hour getting all kinds of information from me THEN he went across the street to see about the Infiniti and returned empty handed. He told me the car was being painted. Interesting because there were already plenty of pictures of the car on the website. The uneasiness returned. Then he wanted MORE information so that he could offer me "First Right of Refusal" on the vehicle. Still focused on that Infiniti, I relented - against my better judgement. But what was more is that they still hadn't returned my keys. This was an hour into the appointment. An appraisal can't take that long, can it? So, I gave him the information - which led to a credit check - of course! I felt that it was beneficial to me so I allowed him to do so. I continued to ask him about the appraisal of my car and he would offer an arbitrary "Oh, he's still working on it," or "He's going to put it all on a paper once we figure out the car." To speed this story up, once my credit was run, I was no longer a customer but a credit score. He assured me no bank would give me a loan for a car as old as the Infiniti and it would be best to put me in a newer car. He said he could offer me an Altima that "fits your needs" and brought out this gorgeous red 2012 20th Anniversary Altima with all the bells and whistles. The entire time I am still looking for this appraisal (we are past hour two, and on our way to hour 3 at this point) and am still offered the same arbitrary statements. I test drive the Altima and it is revealed to me that it is 25000. I previously told the young man that I could only afford $300 a month for a car payment. There was NO WAY they were going to fit that Altima into that price range. And I was right. He brought out the "paper" with my appraisal on it - still no keys. First, they were NOT going to offer me that beautiful Altima I just test drove. No. They were going to offer me a 2011 Altima that was previously used as a rental car. A car I hadn't even seen yet. It was 19000. The payments on this car - upwards of $450 a month. Now, I'm angry. Because now I've spent 3 hours of my time here, and I have gotten nowhere. So of course, after I reject the offer he sends his manager over. Antoine. Now, Antoine is where the story really begins. Because he comes over and talks to me as if I am delusional because I want a mid-size vehicle with my credit and I want the payments to be $300. "It's not gonna happen," he says. Then he wants me to look at a Versa or a Sentra so that I can "build my credit". He assures me NO BANK is going to finance a car that is a 2005 or a 2006 for me because my interest will be so high, and if they did the length of the loan would be short. I hear him. I really do. But, for one thing, I do not appreciate Antoine's familiar tone with me. I am not your friend or even your ally at this point. You think talking to me like this, after I've been through every hoop there is with the other guy, is going to make me buy a car from you? Is it because I'm a woman? Or maybe it's because I'm black. Or maybe I was just hit with the stupid stick before I walked in, eh, Antoine? In either case, I walked out of there without even thinking twice about ever returning to this dealership. What's more? Antoine had about 10 or 11 cars on his lot in my price range that were mid-size vehicles - they just weren't Nissans. I had even mentioned to Junior that I was in love with the 2011 Hyundai Sonata- that they had on the website at Hall Elizabeth City! Did he try to sell me that car? The car I actually liked? No. Of course not. Lastly, and this is directly to you Antoine, You were wrong. I was able to walk into Hampton Chevy Mazda the NEXT DAY and walk out with a 2007 Saturn Aura, fully equipped with everything I wanted. THAT'S how ready I was to buy. You missed that sale. I hope this experience teaches you a few things about your customers. Especially young, black, educated, determined women. More
Best car buying experience EVER! Sales staff was patient, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to make a deal. Hall isn't anything like previous car dealerships I've visited. No pressur patient, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to make a deal. Hall isn't anything like previous car dealerships I've visited. No pressure, no sales gimmicks. They stated the price, explained "the numbers" and didn't play the "what do I have to do to earn your business today" mind game that I was expecting. Instead, they worked to win our trust and our business. If you're in the market for a great SUV, I recommend the Nissan Pathfinder Silver Edition and meeting Lamar and Antonie at Hall Nissan Western Branch before you make a deal anywhere else! More
