The best car buying experience I have ever had. Ricky was very professional and fun at the same time. I bought two cars from him the other day, one new for the wife and one used for me. Even though the process was broken up in two days at no fault of his, he still remained to keep the process entertaining. Lawrence was very helpful and I am glad I bought my car at Southern! He was friendly and knew more than the other local dealer about the car I was looking at (Fiat 500). He let me head out and test drive the car alone, which I appreciated- as at the other dealer my husband had to squish in the backseat while the salesman rode up front (?!). Lawrence was new to car sales when I bought my car, but had a genuine honesty about helping me get what I wanted in a car. I appreciate that so much! Southern offers a free oil change for the life of the vehicle, and Lawrence was so helpful with all the aspects of buying a new car. Highly recommend this dealership and Lawrence Cake! More
The dealership had no accessed to DMV the night I picked up my new Challenger, they gave me a dealer tag and said they would mail me my tags and they would send me a check for the money to send their dealer up my new Challenger, they gave me a dealer tag and said they would mail me my tags and they would send me a check for the money to send their dealer plate to them as I live in Richmond,Va..I overnite their tag back to them and they still won't send my money back, I have talked to the salesman twice about this, and he assures me he will take care of it and call me back within two hours.Two months and no call or check, it was only for $14.15 and I know that is a small amount ,but it's the principle of the matter and good customer service. They take your business but won't stand up for the small details.A letter has been written to the board of Directors. More

Upon arrival I had the disti On 3 JUN 2013 I decided to visit Southern Dodge (Chrysler/Jeep-Ram) located at 2747 N. Military Highway in Norfolk, VA. Upon arrival I had the distinct pleasure of meeting sales associate Mr. Ricky Griffin. Ricky immediately greeted me with a warm and inviting smile. His astute intuition, or perhaps simply his good-natured personality was instantly evidenced. He immediately knew the way I wanted to be treated as a customer. I am a no-nonsense type of consumer and am not a fan of wasting time. I’m sure Ricky would have spent as much time as I wanted to looking at a variety of cars, but it really wasn’t necessary. I’m positive Ricky adapts quickly to all situations and can switch gears on a minute’s notice ultimately ensuring top-notch customer service is provided to customers of all ages and genders. Ricky rapidly and efficiently determined the type of car I was interested in and led me directly to the area of the lot that had vehicles that I was interested in. A few minutes later, Ricky and I were on a test drive. Ricky’s easygoing nature allowed him to naturally and easily explain all features of the vehicle. Ricky took the time to explain the entire electronics package. He wanted to make sure that I fully understood the capabilities of the vehicle – and he succeeded in teaching me. In short, Ricky clearly explained every aspect of the vehicle. I must note, I had done research on this particular vehicle, and Ricky moved on smartly when he got to areas of the vehicle that I was already aware of. I appreciated that. Not only was Ricky a phenomenal salesman, but his supporting cast were also true professionals. Ricky’s manager Chris was personable, friendly and forthright. Krystal is a brilliant young lady and clearly articulated additional options that were available from the dealership. Finance Manager Tony was straightforward and extremely knowledgeable on the procedures to set up all financing. Tony worked diligently to get me the best interest rate available – thank you! The ladies in the service department clearly explained the procedures for setting up service, operating hours, and set up my first oil change. If you happen to be shopping for a new car, I highly suggest you seek out Southern Dodge and ask Ricky to help you – you will not be disappointed! His breadth of knowledge is formidable and when you couple his knowledge and people skills it creates a perfect scenario resulting in superior customer satisfaction.
