I drove over 2 hours from OBX to buy at Southern because they were the most helpful and knowledgeable. A fair deal and no BS. They gave me a very fair price on my trade against actual sticker price. The other Jeep dealers in the OBX and Va were high pressure, trying to low ball my trade plus they were inflating the list price. Southern earned my business before and after the sale. Gave a detailed descr Complaint Service Advisor- Destiny Neal Service Director- John Deuso GM- Cameron Shaw Monday 4/25/2022- Called service. Gave a detailed description of the radiator issue, told Her I would need a new radiator. Asked her to take notes for Service- that we had run the car for 15 minutes and found a leak/hole in the radiator. Was told we could not get in until Friday, 4/29. Asked if I could drop off Thus so it would be first on Friday. Was told that was fine. Thurs, 4/28/2022- Dropped off Jeep at service with the same explanation on the envelope with key, requesting a call if it exceeded $500. (This is end of April, and inspection is due in May, so I said to do that also while it’s there) Friday, 4/29/2022- A.M. Call from Destiny saying she had the Jeep in, and did I know about the $200 diagnostic charge? I told her we had already diagnosed the issue. She pushed and said if we just do what you say, then there’s something else, there will be a Diag fee on the next go round. I asked if the Diag fee would be rolled into any repair and she said Yes. I said go ahead, it needs to be done, like I told you in the first place. 4/29- P.M. Call from Destiny- Yes, it does need a new radiator, and just ordered it, won;’t be here til tomorrow (SATURDAY 4/30), and no one to work on it, so it will be Monday before it’s ready. Already scraped the inspection sticker, (that wasn’t due yet) Rejected inspection for an exhaust issue, Destiny said it would be less expensive to take it Big Al’s for the fix, then bring it back.Estimated $350. Monday, 5/2/2022- Heard nothing A.M. Called for Destiny at 1:13, left VM, no response Called for Destiny at 1:35, left VM, no response Called for GM, Cameron Shaw, left VM, no response 2:30- went to shop, asking for Destiny, had to wait 10 minutes, asked if Service Manager was there, was told No, he’s not available. Went to the checkout office and asked for him ( John Deuso) and suddenly he was available. 2:53 pm-While waiting for him, saw Destiny walking to the service bays with my radiator. Destiny saw us watching this and came in to tell it was just delivered, and was going to be in the works. Sat down with John Deuso(Service Manager) for about 30 minutes and discussed the whole issue. He said he could give a 10% discount, blahblahblah and excused this for him being new there, and for Destiny being new there. Tues 5/3/2022- Picked up the Jeep, $1267.17, no discount, rejection sticker Service Manager was not available… Fri5/6/2022- Took to Als- exhaust fixed, $345 Sun 5/8/2022 Left with Southern to get in Mon morning Monday 5/9/2022 AM- No call 1:27 left call, VM with Service, no response 2:46 left call, VM with Service, no response 3:12 left call, VM with Service, no response 4:06, left call, VM with Service Manager, John Deuso, no response 4:24 left call, VM with Cameron Shaw, GM, no response 5pm- dropped off Jeep with Tina for reinspection Tuesday 5/10/2022, 8:30am- call from Destiny, ready for pickup. Picked up and brought home. Chat on website with Andrea trying to get the dealership Owner contact information- to no avail, she called me Destiny at the end (Really??) Today is Thursday 5/12/2022, and still have not heard from Service Manager John Deuso, or GM, Cameron Shaw. More
