To start off… this has been the most pleasant and straightforward purchase of a car that I have had and witnessed in years! Demetrius displayed the BEST customer service and patience throughout the entire car buying process that I have ever seen. He answered our many questions from inventory, features, selection, financing, and provided the most transparency that I have ever been shown from a car salesman. Not only was Checkered Flag Jeep the best facilitator for our New car purchase but it was the best in communication and no xx antics. We visited numerous car dealerships and they gave us the run around regarding our requested car make, model, features, etc. After specifically stating the exact car that we wanted they jumped through hoops - NOT to sell us the car that we WANTED - but to sell us the cars that they HAD. Then when we asked questions about their high prices they were charging for what they had available, they decided to explain their “invoice” to us and why they had to up charge over $6K on the final price and couldn’t go any lower. They even asked US to provide them with the paperwork from other dealers to see what they were charging….it got to a point where we had to stand up and walk away from the table and out of their office. I appreciate car salesmen like Demetrius who gives straightforward answers and no nonsense advice when it comes to what they can and cannot provide to their customers. If ANYONE is in the market for a new car… I strongly advise you to check out Checkered Flag Jeep in Newport News (I am sure that all the sales reps are amazing but I recommend working with Demetrius)!!!! We. test drove the car and were prepared to purchase. Took a closer look under the hood, found suspicious markings on the motor. When checking the Carfax, Found the motor had been replaced buy the dealer with a used motor. Questioned the salesman, he could not verify the Carfax or our inquiry. Asked to speak to a Manager who refused to meet with us, or provide information about the motor replacement. We walked away because of the dealerships dishonesty and refusal to deal with the situation. We found the mileage was different on the motor than advertised. First, that is ileagle but more importantly it is immoral. We have purchased from Checkard Flag in the past, and could have reported this to DMV. We decided not to report it, however will NEVER purchase from Checkerd Flag again and will tell all our family and friends about your ethics. More

Looking at the pictures the staff agreed it was not there before. They let me know they would be willing to fix it ( they damaged it! ) if I could drop it off early on a Tuesday and pick it up that evening I would not be able to leave it overnight. I cant use a loaner from the dealership because I live southside nor will they drop me off because I live in Chesapeake! I asked if I could have someone southside at another checkered flag fix it and was told no. I feel like they messed up my car and are unwilling to help me in anyway that could be convenient to me. I cant take a day off and I cant leave my car to be fixed. It left a bad taste after being so happy to find my car. More

They had a decent selection and Sena Turner, the representative that greeted Me, was very attentive, courteous, and while admittedly new to th Jeeps. It honestly hurts me to make this post because I specifically chose this location because of a bad experience my wife and I had at another location. The first time we came to visit the service depar specifically chose this location because of a bad experience my wife and I had at another location. The first time we came to visit the service department everybody was beyond nice, extremely helpful and then yesterday was the complete opposite with this being our only car that is out of commission right now all I was trying to do was seek help because my special needs kids have appointments and we were just checking on the status of the car just to see if it’s even been looked at or we can get a loaner or something. The African-American lady who I encountered seemed like she was going out of her way to be rude. I understand everybody has a bad day, but at the same time I didn’t do it to you. This was my first time speaking with you today , and all I wanted to do was make sure that I am on the list to get a loaner and see if they can also fix the recall issue that was just emailed to us yesterday. I really hope this situation can be rectified because like I said, we love coming here. To add onto this review the car was towed in Monday. We didn’t have an appointment untill Tuesday which is fine we’re about to go on day three of it not even being with that we’ve also been trying to call for 6 days AND NO ONE ANSWERS or even text back hence the reason why I had to go up there twice to check on it. I called today and some person on the switchboard says yeah we’ve been trying to get in contact with them for a while everybody quit if that’s the case. Once again, the car is been sitting there since Monday why is nobody let me know that it’s going to be a long time Even Jeep corporate tried getting hold of them twice was on the phone on hold for 10 minutes. With corporate trying to get through to them just for them not to answer to corporate either. I bought this brand new car to be reliable and dependable all I’m trying to do is trying to get it serviced and get this problem with my engine fixed. It’s awfully inconvenient trying to reschedule two special-needs children’s doctors appointments because you don’t have a car not everybody has the money to sit here and get a loaner for weeks at a time Jeep’s only going to cover for 10 days of a rental Once again, the car is been sitting there six days we’re almost out of time we were told by a tech when we went up there that we’re on the loner list but honestly, I don’t have faith in that at this point in the car’s virtually stuck there because it won’t start and we can’t drive it somewhere else.
