I bought the brand new vehicle 3 months ago in May. There was a deep scratch on one of the side mirrors. Pictures were taken and I was told the part would be ordered and I'd get a call to come in for install. 1 month, nothing. 2 months, I tried reaching out. No response. 3 months, I finally had time to physically go in and ask about it on 7/30/24. I got some confused responses, "Let me check on that." And then "I'll get with Service. Oh the part should be in tomorrow. I'll give you an update tomorrow." On 8/5/24, tomorrow finally happened. "I need to check with with Parts.....the part will be in tomorrow. What's the soonest you can come in? Oh the weekend? Let me check if they'll have a team in to paint it over the weekend." Why would a new part need painting? Is it even OEM? Asked for pictures of the part. Received the pictures. Was reading the label. Why does the OE Date say 8/5/24? This part should have been ordered in May. I was told "The sales manager and service departments been talking about this part. They were thinking they had to order the whole mirror, but the manager got with them and they were able to order the part that was scratched on the rearview mirror." Why in the world did it take 3 freaking months for that conversation to come to a close? They could have called me to try and come in so they could physically see it if they were being outsmarted by a photo. I'd been warned about the horribleness of Southern's Service Department but yikes. It's like they have one brain cell they all share and someone dropped it to roll off under a vehicle and it took 3 months for them to find it again. Seriously, they are trash. I'm worried about the upcoming service to replace the scratched piece. It's an easy fix that I foresee them taking 5 hours to complete during which time my oil drain plug goes missing, my tire gets a nail in it, and my wiper blades suddenly fall apart. The only reason I'm going is to get the part. I don't trust Southern to take care of my vehicle. More
