Thanks southeastern Honda cause the car broke down and my family is stranded on the side of the road! If i could rate this place in negatives i would. Happy New year! More
Terrible Service and Inconvenience First, I have never written one of these before. I came into SOUTHEASTERN HONDA a little over two months ago because my AC was not working. The hot ha First, I have never written one of these before. I came into SOUTHEASTERN HONDA a little over two months ago because my AC was not working. The hot hair was blowing but no cold air. They charged me for a $175 for a diagnostic to see if there was a leak and told me to come back in a couple weeks when the air starts to become hot again. After I left the dealership my air was on and off cold air. I came back two weeks later and they told me that there was no leak and that I would have to come back when my problem happened again. I was extremely confused because my problem NEVER STOPPED. My problem was happening ALL THE TIME. So as I was leaving I turned on my car and once again the hot air blows out. I walk inside to tell Thomas. He calls the mechanic to come check out my car in less then 5 min the mechanic says its my compressor and coil. My car was in there for an oil change and the diagnostic check and in the shop for hours. How did they not figure that out sooner? Anyways, we go in side to get quoted. They wanted $1300 for a compressor and coil. I could not afford that especially after paying almost $200 for a diagnostic test that didn't need to happen because all they had to do was turn on my car and see the compressor didn't click (like the mechanic said). Honda did not apologize for even charging me for the diagnostic test or that my car has been in there 3 times and how they didn't just open the hood and realize there was no "click". A month and a half goes by with me driving without AC trying to find a way to pay for this and I head over to SOUTHERN CAR CARE today (referred to by a friend). The man drops what he is doing and starts checking out my car. He starts sticking a sharp metal pin with a light on top to see if electricity was flowing through certain parts. He then opens the fuse box that is under my hood and sticks the pen in the AC one. He then unplugs the AC fuse and puts one that he had from his shop. My compressor clicks on and my AC immediately turns cold. The part was only 18.50!! Along with his labor 49!! He told me I did not need a new compressor and I have been driving without AC for a tiny tiny problem that took him 5 minutes to find! I paid him and thanked the man. Side note: I asked honda about my headlights because they were hazed over. The man who does them I believe was sick but they wanted an outrages amount of money. I asked the man at SOUTHERN CAR CARE and he buffed them and they were like brand new. Better yet, he didn't charge me a dime! I am from California and I have never had this much trouble with CA Honda dealership. Very disappointed in how incompetent SOUTHEASTERN HONDA was but unfortunately, they are the closest dealership to where I live now. More
Bad Experience with Southeastern Honda Service department My college daughter took her Honda in to fix a lock problem. When she left with the car, she could not get the gear to shift out of park. She informe My college daughter took her Honda in to fix a lock problem. When she left with the car, she could not get the gear to shift out of park. She informed a technician who used a screwdriver to what she thought was some kind of adjustment. Drove home and found out she had no brake lights. At that point, again could not shift the gear from "Park". We called Southeastern about this problem they told us how to insert an object into a keyhole to the right of the gear shift. Honda has a safety feature that prevents the shifter to release from "Park" if the brake lights aren't functioning. Returned the next day, Southeastern replaced a fuse to correct the problem. Left dealership with the car. Later tried to drive the car but had a dead battery and noticed her brake lights were on when the car was not running. Contacted Honda again and they requested we bring the car back. At this point we decided to use another mechanic. The 2nd mechanic had to make a quick adjustment on the brake switch, which took about 2 minutes and we were not even charged for the fix. I am appalled at the incompetence and lack of concern on the part of Southeastern's service department. They allowed my daughter to leave their dealership two separate times with brake lights not operating properly which could have caused an accident. We won't be using them again for our Honda repairs. Amazing how one individual's attitude can destroy one's perception of a car dealer. I hadn't been to Southeastern in a while until this week, but over the years I've purchased four Hondas from them w one's perception of a car dealer. I hadn't been to Southeastern in a while until this week, but over the years I've purchased four Hondas from them without incident. I took an odometer disclosure form in that needed to be completed in order to register a Honda I'd bought new from them earlier but, being unfamiliar with the form, was remiss in getting it signed correctly, necessitating a second trip. I learned about my mistake after sitting in line at the DMV for two hours, but the DMV lady told me that if I could bring back the signed form in 30 minutes I would not have to start all over- so naturally I was in a bit of a hurry. I called southeastern en route to explain my situation and sense of urgency, and was assured that there would be someone immediately available to give me a simple signature (on a form they'd otherwise completed the day before). What I actually encountered was a wall of blank stares, interrupted only by one arrogant individual who alternatively lectured me on how the dealership wasn't the appropriate party to complete the form; and wondering out loud why I seemed to be a little upset. I'm guessing this was the sales manager or GM demonstrating to his (largely unoccupied) team how you deal with distressed individuals who are there on a mission that doesn't happen to involve buying a new vehicle, but he ultimately gestured upstairs to an (empty) finance office, whereupon I wandered around until I came across someone willing to sign the form. This could have been accomplished in less than 30 seconds instead of 10 minutes, 9 of which were consumed in being treated like some kind of nuisance by this one guy. I have four vehicles; 3 are Hondas; and I trade in one of them about every 15 months. I retired at the age of 46 and split my time between Indialantic and Asheville, and I am relatively certain I will be treated with a little more empathy and respect by just about any other Honda dealer. My relationship with Southeastern goes back 15 years. It is over. More
We found Nick George, Sales Consultant, to be honest, polite, and courteous. We told him the price range, and vehicle, we were interested in and he satisfied our needs.
