We brought our car in to have the a/c checked out and buy the (2) cabin air filters and a rear windshield wiper. Curtis gave me a great deal on the wiper (had to be ordered) & filters told me they will inst the (2) cabin air filters and a rear windshield wiper. Curtis gave me a great deal on the wiper (had to be ordered) & filters told me they will install them "free" if I'm having service done. I said great; he said just tell the advisor. I went and told Bruce we wanted the (2) cabin filters installed he promptly tells me the cabin filters are $65 to install -- WHAT?? I have done this job myself many times, it takes all of 10-15 mins (and I'm a girl!!). Bruce also says there's only (1) cabin and (1) engine air filter. I asked are you sure? He replied "yes". There are (2) I paid for (2)and prior installs (by me) took (2). I have concerns when I now KNOW I'm being over charged to install the filters ($47 for 10-15 mins of work -- (2) filters was approx $18 total)at the price they charge that equates to $188-$282 per hour depending on if it takes 10 or 15 mins!! And, since the "advisor" said more than once the car has (1) filter when the car has (2) it makes me wonder how well will they fix my car when they don't even double check the information they're telling me. I wanted to voice my concern to the manager, Joe Porter, who did not apologize for his employees misleading statements or offer any words of confidence (I wanted to make absolutely clear they were going to call before doing any work beyond diagnostics of the problem). Instead, he said "we're obviously not going to make you happy so you should take your car somewhere else." Evidently this dealer has more business than they need-- so we said no problem. Brought the parts we just purchased back for a refund and left. By the way, we have NEVER EVER IN 26 YEARS of owning Hondas ever had an encounter with a dealer like this!! Our other vehicle is a Dodge and the dealer we take that vehicle said they will gladly take a look at our Honda's a/c and provide the services to repair it. Very sad day for Honda when a long time Honda owner has to go to the Dodge Dealer to get great customer service!! More
The dealer representative and I made a cash all inclusive deal for a new (2012) Civic. Including various additions as well as tags and tax. I paid cash. After all was done: deal signed, cash paid and vehi deal for a new (2012) Civic. Including various additions as well as tags and tax. I paid cash. After all was done: deal signed, cash paid and vehicle delivered, a few weeks later they sent me an additional bill for my tags which was included in the original deal. They refused to send me my tags until I paid them additional monies. I refused to be extorted. I had everything in writing so there should be no confusion. I had to go to the DMV to get my new tags that applied to the new car. I called at least 5 different people no one would help me. In fact their finance person was very disrespectful. I left a message for the GM of course he never returned my call. Today almost 5 months later I received another bill for my tags. Southeastern Honda should be embarrassed with the lack customer service, dishonesty and disrespect towards me. They boast how good they are.. Be careful when dealing with this questionable dealer who lacks integrity and is marginally truthful. More
By far the best sales experience in purchasing an auto in 25 years of buying cars! Bob Dolan does what he tells you he'll do and doesn't play any of those typical car salesman games. 25 years of buying cars! This is the 3rd new Honda we have purchased from this dealership. It will also be our last purchase from this dealership. Our Salesman Nick was excellent - honest, no pressure sales, friendly, trea dealership. It will also be our last purchase from this dealership. Our Salesman Nick was excellent - honest, no pressure sales, friendly, treated us with respect and gave us an excellent price for the vehicle. We are very pleased with him. The pleasant experience turned into a nightmare as soon as we met Scott Gabriel the Finance Manager who turned the entire buying experience into a frightening negotiation. He refused to accept our Pre-Approved loan. He stated that it was against this dealership's policy to accept Pre-Approved Loans. The major bank that issued us the Pre-Approved loan stated that they had written confirmation from Honda Corporate and this dealership that Pre-Approved loans would be accepted. This started the ensuring 4-day saga of threatening and intimidating behavior by Scott Gabriel. Scott Gabriel bullied and intimidated my husband and myself. He enjoyed every minute. Scott Gabriel pulled hard sales tactics. Renegotiated the price adding $60 dollar for unknown documents. He could not explain what these documents were but kept screaming that they were required. The dealership has since refunded this amount to us. Scott Gabriel also charged $90.00 for the title of the car we traded in even though State law states that this charge is $10.00. The dealership has since returned our check without cashing it. It was good that the dealership audited Gabriel Scott's work. Not only does this dealership need to audit his work but they need to counsel him on his bulling and intimidation tactics. Perhaps this dealership should also look to see if this employee represents the ethical values of Honda. Scott Gabriel was also less than truthful. Scott Gabriel demanded that renegotiate our auto insurance policy which we have had with our carrier for 20+ years so we could buy the $3,000.00 of nonsense he was aggressively selling us. He went into an extensive rant and tirade when we refused his request. A Sales Manger on duty stopped by for less than 5 seconds, barely introduced himself. He did witness the bullying going on by Scott Gabriel and the false statements Scott Gabriel made but this Sales Manager did nothing to intervene or assist us. He merely walked away. What kind of dealership has Management that behaves this way? We had misplaced our receipt and I asked for a copy of the sales receipt to be left at the front desk. I was told it would be at the front desk. When I went to pick up the receipt in the evening, it was not at the front desk. Instead the young receptionist pulled someone else's document and asked me to sign it. I asked the receptionist to obtain a copy of the sales receipt from anyone except Scott Gabriel. This young receptionist who was very pleasant and also completely unaware of the 4 day saga that we endured from Scott Gabriel brings this very man Scott Gabriel to assist me when I specifically requested that he NOT be called. I dont blame this young girl - she is inexperienced and is learning her job and clearly had no clue that this was a bad situation, Scott Gabriel and myself had a verbal altercation on the sales floor. He was extremely disrespectful to me and stated that he had barely met us yesterday (this is not the truth, our drama with this man started 4 days ago and the date on paperwork proves it) and he stated that he did not even know what I was talking about. He was intimidating in his demeanor and throughly enjoyed his verbal abuse towards me. I left the dealership fearful. He later called and left a voice mail on our personal phone. We did not appreciate the contents of his message. More
