The Southeastern Honda dealership employee behavior was threatening and offensive. On Labor Day 2013, some family members and I visited Southeastern Honda. Salesman Scott Toon showed us the 2013 Civic LX threatening and offensive. On Labor Day 2013, some family members and I visited Southeastern Honda. Salesman Scott Toon showed us the 2013 Civic LX Auto Sedan. Afterwards we went inside to discuss a potential deal. After I pointed out that Scott's first offer was higher than the online price he summoned one of the sales managers named Chris. The manager confirmed the online price but told us that the $500 rebate on the Civic was no longer valid as the dealership just happened to exhaust its allocation of rebate dollars the previous day. Despite this, I attempted to negotiate a better deal. Scott Toon did not like me questioning his pricing and even made irrelevant defensive statements such as - the dealership sold 60 cars the day before, and, he has been selling cars for 45 years. He even stated that the sales manager wanted me thrown out if I continued to disagree with their pricing. Undeterred, I continued to try to get a better deal and did not believe Scott Toon when he said that the current pricing made the dealership no profit. Finally, Scott Toon stood up and yelled at us. He was belligerent in his rant about me not wanting to accept his offer. The he left. His behavior was unprofessional and verbally abusive. Afterwards, I wanted to discuss the way we were treated to a manager. I asked two other salesman to send over a manager but they did nothing. I then went and asked the group of about 15 salesman standing around the showroom to identify a manager. Then finally, an individual stepped forward and said he was a manager. He did not offer his name. I asked him if yelling at the customer is acceptable at this dealership. His reply was that I told the salesman (Scott Toon) that he was a liar. Once again, I addressed the fact that we were yelled at and once again the manager said that I called the salesman a liar. The treatment we received was unbelievably inappropriate. The actions of Scott Toon, Sales Manager Chris, and the rest of the Southeastern Honda Team clearly show that 1) you cannot attempt to negotiate a better price like you can at every other car dealer, 2) if you disagree with the dealership pricing they will say you called them liars, 3) the customer is not their main focus, and, 4) management condones verbal abuse towards the customer. We will never return to Southeastern Honda and are seriously contemplating filing formal charges. More
We purchased our first Honda - a CRV in early July, 2013 from Nick George at Southeastern Honda. Southeastern was our first stop in a long day of comparison shopping for a new vehicle. I went into the dealship to drive a used CRZ and found I loved driving it as much as I loved the looks. We were able to come to acceptable terms so I drove it home. I would highly recommend this dealership when looking for a car. I originally emailed an inquiry about a Honda accord and got a quick response. They had the car I wanted and gave me the price. A couple days later I came to the dealership to fill out the papers and in a few hours everything was worked out. I love my new Honda accord. The gentleman in financing was great and made everything easy. Nick George was great to work with and he made sure the car I wanted was there. He was very professional and was able to help me get close to the price I wanted. My parents have a bought a car from them and now I have. I'll recommend them to anyone looking for a car. More
My husband and I purchased a Honda Odyssey from Gus in April 2013. Tim McDermott has been our sale representative on all our lease Honda since 1997. His knowledge and experience with Honda product especially Accords are above reproach. After you leave the show room and you need extra information or on how to get thing working he explain then so well. I have been buying new cars for almost 50 years and was aware of the tactics that dealers use, so on January 18, 2013 I went in with my wife to see the CR-V EX-L AWD in Polished Metal Metallic and three hours later we drove our CR-V out of the lot. Kyle was the best car salesman I ever met, he told us everything about the car, took it out for a test drive, met with Scott the finance guy who was very nice (no pressure or gimmicks) and we were out the door, kyle was a real gentleman. Fantastic automobile purchasing experience! My leased 2010 CR-V EX -L was expiring on the 1st of May. I am a retired Honda Internet Sales Manager so I elected to go the Internet Route. I called the dealership and spoke to the Sales Manager John and he let me know the Internet manager wouldn't be there until 1:00. He assured me that I would be treated professionally as soon as my wife and I arrived at the dealership. Upon arrival I was greeted by Professionally by George Monfort. He was the sales consultant that would help us select our next Honda CR -V. After George's initial greeting he listened to our wants and needs. His vehicle presentation was exceptional. He was able to provide us with the answers to all of our questions and reasons why that model CR -V EX-L would fit our needs. The negotiations went very smooth and we were able to lease our 11th Honda vehicle. The finance manager was friendly, courteous, and answered all of our questions regarding the leasing program that we selected. After purchasing many Honda vehicles this was one of the best experiences we have ever had during selection, presentation, negotiating, and delivery of our new 2013 Honda CR-V.
