Rick the salesman was fine. I actually had a signed contract in place to purchase a new 2019 Honda Insight on 8/14/20. I went to inspect the car (after all papers were signed) and then everything wen contract in place to purchase a new 2019 Honda Insight on 8/14/20. I went to inspect the car (after all papers were signed) and then everything went south. There was a dent in the car, it needed detailing (rail dust on car) and an area on the side needed buffing. Nothing major but the work needed to be done. Southeastern Honda wanted me to take the car and come back on Monday to get the work done. (It was a Friday). I said I preferred to just come back on Monday to pick up the car but the dealership put pressure on me to "consummate the sale" as they put it and take delivery that day. Then someone came out and said he would cancel the sale. I said fine and walked out. Please note I wasn't trying to cancel the sale, just make sure the necessary (and agreed on) work was done before I actually took the car. I was quite stunned by the turn of events. The next day, Rick called me and apologized for the way things happened. Said he would call me on Monday when the repairs got done. I didn't want to commit to anything at that point (why would a car dealership treat someone like that) but Rick never called back that Monday. My feeling is that he only called so he could say he called and wasn't a sincere offer on his part or the part of Southeastern Honda. This was definitely not a good experience for me.
