I am very pleased to share my wonderful experience with all of you folks out there considering a Ford purchase or a Ford Lease. It all started with a great phone conversation with Brian Cooper - Sales Mana all of you folks out there considering a Ford purchase or a Ford Lease. It all started with a great phone conversation with Brian Cooper - Sales Manager - on my call in. He was a great in person as he was on the phone! Next, there was an introduction to young , great, sales consultant-Kaitlyn- boy she is on it from the word go. She will take great care of you all the way through the sales process. She listened and reacted in a very professional way. I recommend reaching out to her, I promise she will do everything within her power to make you truly out purchase or lease experience! I had the great opportunity to meet John,-Lead Sales Manager - well he did everything with his efforts to make my deal happen and I do appreciate that so much! You know, you never know what is going to happen in business and life right! "it is a small world", that is so cool the John's uncles and I had worked together for years in the past, ok kind of way back! Pretty cool to have had that happen there as well! Omar, the finance Manager, a very easy going but business like Finance manager. I was 110% comfortable with him. He took his time late in the evening to let me know just HOW I could protect my investment I had just done. When you buy your first, next Ford product, make sure to take the time and heed his advise on how to best protect your and your vehicle! I am certain he wouldn't forget, but tell him you want to hear about the products/options to secure your NEW RIDE! Seriously folks, this new building, the folks I saw and met there were top notch. All are very nicely dressed, all speak to you when crossing paths, offer drinks, AND say yes sir---WHAT!!! Very impressive TEAM! I want to again express my GRATITUDE for Everyone there, not just the folks I dealt with directly. What a place, heck I wouldn't mind working for such a great company like what Mr. Gilchrist has created! :-) Heck, what dealer works every day at the office including Saturday's! That speaks volumes of a caring and active leader. It show's through his members in the store. Treat people the best you can, smile, be of service, be grateful for the clients. and be proud the be selling FORD's what a great and legendary company in itself! Ok, I am tired of writing now! LOL! It is worth going to see these folks, you will have an amazing experience I promise! Best to all, Reuben McPherson 03/24/21 P.S.- Thanks for staying after closing to finalize my deal for me, that is NEXT LEVEL stuff! More
Let me begin by saying that I am not one to write reviews and understand that there is routine maintenance when it comes to vehicles and was not expecting a perfect used car. And. I know that used cars need and understand that there is routine maintenance when it comes to vehicles and was not expecting a perfect used car. And. I know that used cars need things routinely fixed or replaced. That being said...Went to Charlie Gilchrist Southwest Ford right at 7 months ago and bought a 2013 Ford Escape from this dealership. Upon test driving car noticed a few issues with it and was told that these were because it was a short wheel base and other open ended reasons that were due to it being the type of car that it was. Upon asking how many points of inspection it goes through before putting it on their lot to sell the guy tells me "like an 80 point inspection." Was told later all the things that were needed to be fixed had been fixed including a door lock recall. Kinda funny because a lady prior to while driving a "2013" F-150 told my wife and I that "they do a 110 point inspection. Turns out that the 2013 was really a 2009 upon my closer look at truck. Then went back a few days later to look again. No models I was looking for in trucks were there so they showed us a 2013 Escape. We let them know that we were pre-approved for a loan that would cover total cost by way of co-signer. Yet they ran my credit with at least 8-10 different places trying to get me approved. Didn't know they were doing that. And w/out my permission because I didn't need their financing. Lowered my not so great credit to the least it could be and knocked co-signers credit from high 800s to low 700s. After going to bank to finish paperwork for my pre approved loan and telling them at dealership. They say that they will have it ready for me in about 2 hrs. I pick up car after they do something with it across the street, wash I think, maybe oil change, remove dealer stickers, etc. I leave with car. Pulling out of the lot the brakes screeched extremely loud and when accelerating engine revs almost to red line. Get home and start looking at car and begin to discover that there are 18 things I find wrong with it including: very dark (burnt) brake fluid, transmission fluid was a quart low, idles very roughly due to broken engine mount, enough to make hood violently shake near wipers and throughout entire car, plus misfire, yet system check says ok, computer may have been set so that it won't read codes properly, very low rpm idle setting (programmable) to compensate for shaking I'm sure, front right tire jerks very hard to the right pulling car towards the side of road esp. when accelerating as tire hits a dip or bump in road, feels quite unsafe, shock/struts on 1 to 3. or all tires are worn out, also unsafe, due to high rollover possibility, extreme wear on tires from no shock absorption from bad shocks, already need two new front tires, turbo leaks oil, seatbelt is very slow to retract, both batteries in key fob died less than a month later after purchase, rear windshield wiper was rubbing metal to glass upon purchase, has no skid plate to protect underside of engine, also missing skid plate causes car to swerve quit a bit from turbulence as air passes underneath, can hardly hold vehicle in straight line at 55mph on a non windy day, drivers side wing mirror indicator loose causing it to whistle while driving, also found hole in underside of muffler by noticing that the exhaust doesn't drip because it's dripping from that hole, and blower motor for a/c and heating is broken and spins unbalanced causing loud noise and strong vibration in dash. Found a dead mouse in cabin air filter compartment. After having noticed the stench. Most likely the cause of broken blower motor fan. What a coincidence that the Ford Warranty department has continued to blow my ph up NEARLY EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE DAY ONE. Having had returned to Ford house I told someone there about what I've just written as he was getting my new license plates and he said "there's nothing that can be done because it's too far into the deal." So either the inspector was at fault, the car just happened to make it by without 18 things wrong with it being noticed, or they rely on most people that get an extended warranty to have the buyer bring in their car for a discounted oil change and then tell them about problems that they found that they already knew about prior to. So that they can make a max profit and not have to fix car before selling to buyers. What a sham(e) ! BAD BUSINESS ETHICS. VULTURES. Don't buy a car from a lot that pays the car salesman by commission. I will NEVER buy a car from them again ! And will most certainly tell everyone that I can possibly tell (which is a considerable amount of people) to rethink their purchase from these guys. I do not wish to be contacted and told some B.S. when it comes to the possible inquisition of this matter unless Charles Gilchrist himself or current owner(s) would like to make it right. More
