I have challenged credit but they were able to help get me the car I wanted at I just had the best experience purchasing my car at South Tacoma Auto! I have challenged credit but they were able to help get me the car I wanted at low payments I could afford. Everyone there were heplful, friendly, and professional. They make me feel comfortable and made it a pleasant experience instead of stressful and pushy, like other dealerships. I would recommend them to anyone, and I love my car!!! Rip-Off Artists This place is terrible. I had gone in on a Monday night to look at a car that I found on Cars.com at this dealership, and this would have been my firs This place is terrible. I had gone in on a Monday night to look at a car that I found on Cars.com at this dealership, and this would have been my first car buying experience. The car looked amazing and it was a great deal, but during the test drive, something had come through the vents that burnt me and my families' eyes and throats (that should have been my first red flag). When we pulled back into the dealership, our salesman popped the hood and the radiator cap was open; we had figured I took a corner too sharp and coolant had spilled onto the engine, got hot, and came through the vents, so we thought nothing was wrong with the car. I had the car financed and it was mine. On Tuesday, on my way home from giving them my down payment, the car overheated and starting gurgling while stopped at a red light. From then on, the vehicle was nothing but PROBLEMS. I had tried to take it in Wednesday afternoon and the car didn't even make it to the dealership, I had to have it towed because it overheated at a red light. When I eventually got there, they had offered to fix it for free, so that was cool, and they had told me to pick it up Thursday afternoon. Saturday night, I attempted to drive to Seattle in my "fixed" car, but ended up getting stranded. I called my salesman and all he did was tell me to go to the nearest supermarket and buy water to put in the radiator and "try to make it home"; gee, thanks, that's REAL helpful, no tow truck was even offered for the crappy thing they sold me. So Sunday, I take the car back to get "fixed" AGAIN, and picked it up Wednesday evening. Thursday, it was already overheating. This was the last straw and I no longer wanted the car and I wanted a refund of my downpayment; boy, was this hard. I had to call 3 different people, all which I had told I wanted my money back, they agreed and told me to bring the car to the dealership. Well, on the way there, it overheated again (what a shock) and I had to get it towed a second time because it couldn't even make it there. Then, I arrive and they tell me I had to come back the next day, Friday, because no one had written me a check. I wasn't informed that I would literally have to beg for a refund because they sold me a xxx. DO NOT buy a car from this dealership. The mechanics here are useless; they never fixed the issue that my car had, even after 2 different attempts. They figure that slapping teflon tape over everything will solve any issue there is (there was literally tape everywhere in the engine). This dealership is a joke. All of the employees here pretend that their customer service is the best you will ever see yet when I returned to get my money back no one even approached me; I never even got an apology to my face. One of the employees here even had the nerve to tell me that "this is why they don't sell the 5 thousand dollar cars, because something like this will happen", yet you allowed me to buy it? Strange. In the short week and a half I had this used, piece of crap, I was lied to up and down about anything and everything that had to do with the vehicle, I had returned to the dealership a total of 9 times (2 of those times having to be towed), burnt twice, and even gave them 2 different opportunities to fix it, yet it still wasn't running correctly. And the best part? They had already posted the overheating heap back on Cars.com for sale in less than 24 hours after I had it TOWED to the dealership Thursday evening, so that automatically tells you what type of dealership they are. By the Way, I got a DECENT car from another dealer in Auburn and our salesman heard about what was wrong with the car...it was a bad HEATER CORE..they didn't want to fix it because they had to take off the dashboard!! Apparently too tough for the mechanics at South Tacoma Auto. More

We didn't end up buying the car it has been almost a month already and haven't received my money back and have made multiple phone calls. I would not recommend this dealership. More
Very unprofessional!!! A week later the truck broke down on the freeway. Had the truck towed back to the dealership and was told the pcm was out. Was told it would take a a few days and then one more day and then one more day. They had the vehicle for more than half the month. Still don't have my vehicle. And I'm expected to make a payment on it. More

Hassle free beginning to end. Great salesperson! Was greeted quickly by Eric. He had a great approachable no pressure style that made me very comfortable dealing with him. The entire process I felt l Was greeted quickly by Eric. He had a great approachable no pressure style that made me very comfortable dealing with him. The entire process I felt like he was trying to help me versus "closing the deal". He helped negotiate the deal through challenging credit options while maintaining his great hassle free demeanor. Many dealers and salespeople once they are dealing with subprime credit situations change their attitude toward you. Not Eric, he was awesome. I would definitely purchase a car from him again wherever he is working. I highly recommend South Tacoma Auto for their handling of and working through challenging credit, much less frustrating and painless than previous experiences at other dealers. More

Better get everything in writing if buy from this place Stay away from this dealership! If I could give a negative rating I would. One day after purchase the radio died. They told us they would help repair, we drove an hour only to be told there would be a charge for any work including diagnostic of problem. One month later engine died, no oil and we learned the rear main seal was blown. Our mechanic said the dealership must have known, these things don't go out without warning. 2010 Jetta. They refuse to help out when asked stating you bought it as is. In addition, they promised a spare key and when asked they now deny offering it. If you make the mistake in purchasing here get everything in writing as they do not stand behind their verbal promises, this place has no integrity. More

We drove SIX hours to north Washington from southern Oregon. Test drove...filled out all the paperwork..proposed offer...then they TACKED ON $4000 in THEIR FAVOR! Our car was BRAND NEW....theirs had 39K! We were DECEIVED! Robbed of or time, Money and they just tried to make us feel stupid. No wonder they had this car on the lot since JUNE! AVOID these jokers with all costs! More
