I'm not a big believer in 5 Star Reviews. Sometimes a 4 Star Review (with one or two criticisms) feels more real and accurate. Whenever I see all 5 Star Reviews, I tend to question them. That being said, South Shore Subaru is the exception. My salesman Nevin Reyes is the best salesperson I've ever dealt with, and I've been buying / leasing cars every 2-3 years. Many dealerships have reputations of deception or adding last minute charges when picking up a car. South Shore Subaru really seems to be the exception. Nevin Reyes was the most honest salesperson I've ever dealt with. No surprises. Up front. Great follow-through. He called me periodically for almost a year. Never pushy. Nevin Reyes really worked for my business. Some dealerships I visited never even called me back after meeting with them. And because of the pandemic and related computer chip / supply issues, many dealerships were even charging $5,000 to $10,000 over MSRP! In any case, Nevin was always professional, personable, and informative. Nevin quoted me a fair price and did what he promised to do. The dealership even gave us more for our trade-in than I expected. A very fair price. The only problem I had with this dealership is the VIP Program that costs $389. Everyone apparently pays this fee. I couldn't get them to budge on this price, but I ultimately rationalized paying this fee since it covered so much, (i.e., lifetime oil changes, lifetime inspections, lifetime roadside assistance / towing, and more). The other problem I had is the 3.5% charge on any credit card deposit or purchase. Other than these two issues, this really is the best dealership I've ever dealt with. I even drove in from the East End to pick up my Subaru when another Subaru dealership was a lot closer. We did end up paying the extra $389 for the VIP service. With full synthetic oil changes, a free key replacement, and free NYS inspections, etc., we'll probably get that back in 2-3 years. OK. So that's my 5 Star Review with two criticisms. Other than that, allow me to say it again. South Shore Subaru is the best auto dealership I've ever dealt with. And Nevin Reyes is the best salesperson I've ever had. Give him a call.
