Mr. Michael Celeste: Once more, we apologize for the inconvenience and the unfortunate circumstance you and your son went through. We did originally offer to repair the vehicle for you at absolutely no additional charge considering the 2002 Buick Century you purchased was still in fact under the New York State Lemon Law. However, you chose to bring the vehicle to your own local mechanic because our service department in Valley Stream was much too far for you to travel from Bellmore home. You brought the 2002 Buick Century to your repairman who then convinced you that our service department never repaired a "preexisting problem" and charged you at his own rate. So at the end of your sojourn at your local repair shop, you were out $305.00 and wanted South Shore Hyundai to absorb the ante. Established as a new business in our humble community, we demonstrated to do the right thing and out of good will we reimbursed you for half of the amount. You did received the check which you gladly accepted and posted to you account two days after we mailed it. I was under the impression that this matter was handled appropriately; I assumed by you depositing our check was a sign of truce considering I never heard back from you. Unfortunately, this is all we are able to do to rectify it at this point. I apologize that we were unable to appease you, but I hope that you realize that the resolution we offered was more than fair.
